The final WWE pay-per-view of the year is just over two weeks away, with TLC taking up its usual December spot. The card seems to be shaping up pretty nicely, with some exciting matches being teased for the event. TLC usually features a variety of gimmick matches, with this year's edition being no exception.
Five matches have been confirmed to take place at TLC, with some of them likely to have a stipulation added to them. Another few matches could be added to the card. This could be yet another solid night of action in ThunderDome, although it would be the first pay-per-view to take place at Tropicana Field.

Not every match needs to be marquee, but they all have a purpose. WWE could book several title changes at TLC, along with the big matches already on the card. This is set to be a great way to end what has been a peculiar year.
Here are a few matches that could be added to the WWE TLC 2020 card, along with a modification to one which has already been announced.
#5 Bobby Lashley could defend the United States Championship against Riddle at WWE TLC
Bobby Lashley's United States Championship reign has been alright, despite being a part of some tiresome feuds with the likes of Apollo Crews and RETRIBUTION. He could have some excellent matches against various members of the RAW roster, with one of them likely to happen soon.
After MVP rejected all of Riddle's business pitches, Lashley attacked The King of Bros from behind. This is one way to set up a feud. Nevertheless, the two of them could have an all-out war at TLC, one which instantly raises the prestige of the United States title.
This is a match that would feel right at home in the NXT Fight Pit, as well as RAW Underground. Lashley and Riddle both have a history in MMA and have incorporated it into their respective hard-hitting styles. That is what makes a possible match between the two so compelling.
However, with the other big matches at TLC, this isn't the most likely match to be added to the card. WWE may choose to build it over a few weeks, with Bobby Lashley and Riddle possibly colliding on the final RAW of 2020. It could still happen at the pay-per-view though.
#4 Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Asuka and Lana for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at WWE TLC could become a Tables Match
Yes, this match has already been officially announced to be taking place at TLC. However, as things stand, it is only a standard tag team match. The issue between the two teams, particularly Nia Jax and Lana, warrants a Tables Match. It is building perfectly in line with the TLC concept.
Jax and Shayna Baszler have destroyed everybody in their path, especially Lana, who was put through the announce table nine weeks in a row by the Samoan. The pay-off to that was seemingly at Survivor Series, with Lana emerging as the sole survivor in the 10-woman Elimination Match.
Asuka has now joined forces with her to take on the dominant WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. They even have a couple of tag team victories over them. It would be sweet if Lana is somehow able to put Jax through a table. However, that sounds ridiculously unlikely.
Perhaps, that could be achieved through an innovative double team move or even by accident, with Nia Jax's foot breaking a table like the way The Big Show lost the Intercontinental Championship to Cody Rhodes at Extreme Rules 2012. Anything can happen at TLC.
#3 The Street Profits vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura could happen for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WWE TLC
After their victory over The Street Profits last week, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler are next in line to challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, Cesaro also staked his claim for a title match for Shinsuke Nakamura and himself this week. This issue could be settled at TLC.
WWE may pit the three teams against each other at the event, although it is possible that the SmackDown tag titles get the spotlight on TV instead. The action would be great without a doubt, but the Blue brand's tag team scene could do with some more build.
The Street Profits enjoyed a monumental career-defining victory over The New Day at Survivor Series and WWE should have used that to elevate their division. Nevertheless, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are likely to keep their SmackDown Tag Team Championship for another few months.
This three-way feud could be spiced up with a Ladder Match at TLC, but that stipulation is likely being saved for another match on the card. A match with a more established story to it.
#2 The Hurt Business could challenge The New Day for the RAW Tag Team Championship in a Ladder Match at WWE TLC
The Ladder stipulation may fit the triple threat SmackDown Tag Team Championship match, but it could be necessary for the feud between The New Day and The Hurt Business. The two teams had a couple of tight RAW Tag Team Championship matches, with another one likely to come at TLC.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have managed to contain Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in their series so far, but the third time might be the charm for MVP's crew. The Hurt Business could win the RAW tag team titles in an explosive Ladder Match.
It would be similar to The New Day's excellent show-opener against The Revival at last year's TLC event, albeit with the twist of a title change. All four competitors in this match are more than capable of the spectacular, so expect an extremely spot-heavy contest if a Ladder Match is indeed happening.
The in-ring action between the two top tag teams on RAW has been great so far, but it could get much better at TLC. The experience of Benjamin and the fire of Alexander could get the job done for The Hurt Business.
#1 Sami Zayn could defend the Intercontinental Championship against both Big E and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match at WWE TLC
WWE seems to be setting up quite the Intercontinental title picture. Daniel Bryan is continually in the mix, while Big E was introduced as a potential challenger to Sami Zayn last week. The two of them may end up challenging for the Intercontinental Championship at TLC.
Bryan, Big E, and Rey Mysterio teamed to win the Pat Patterson Tribute Match, only featuring Superstars who have won the IC title at least once. Zayn was pinned in that match by Bryan, who was thought to be out of the scene after losing by count-out to the former last week.
Anyway, Bryan and Big E could both step up together and present Zayn with a massive challenge for TLC. While the match would be excellent, it gives SmackDown's resident conspiracy theorist something new to complain about. There is a lot of storytelling potential here.
The Intercontinental Championship feels big again thanks to Sami Zayn and its prestige is set to remain no matter who wins it next. Daniel Bryan has talked at length about his vision for the IC title, while Big E is on the rise to the top of the card. A second reign with the title could do wonders for his ascent, as it would for the belt itself.
