WWE SmackDown Live Preview (24/4/18): Big In-Ring Debut, Former Champion Hires Bodyguard?

Last night's episode of RAW definitely left a lot to be desired so let's hope SmackDown can deliver and with the roster they have, it shouldn't be hard.

Let's take a look at what we can expect from tonight's episode.

#1 Asuka makes in-ring SmackDown debut

Asuka moved to SmackDown last week, coming out to save Charlotte Flair from an attack from the IIconics and Carmella.

Tonight, Asuka makes her in-ring debut, teaming up with Becky Lynch to face the IIconics. The IIconics know what Asuka is capable of from their time in NXT and they'll need a game plan if they don't want to get destroyed again.

#2 Jimmy Uso gets a shot at revenge

The Usos feud with The Bludgeon Brothers reached new heights last week after the Bludgeon Brothers' attack on The Usos. Jimmy's wife Naomi had to come down to ringside to save her husband from the clutches of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

Jimmy Uso will get a shot at revenge tonight as he takes on Erick Rowan tonight. Will Uso get hammered, no pun intended, again or can he pull off a minor miracle?

#3 Contract signing between Charlotte Flair and Carmella

Carmella cashed in her Money In The Bank contract on the SmackDown after WrestleMania, taking advantage of a vicious beatdown by the debuting IIconics on then-champion Charlotte.

Carmella and Charlotte will meet in the ring tonight, and with no women on Friday's GRR card, they'll sign the contract for their title match at WWE Backlash. As with most WWE contract signings, expect this one to devolve quickly.

#4 Multiple debuts

We can expect a number of debuts on tonight's episode of SmackDown from RAW Superstars like Absolution and The Barto NXT stars like SAniTy and Andrade 'Cien' Almas.

#5 Daniel Bryan appears on Miz TV

This feud has been building up for more than a year and a half. Miz and Bryan's clashes on Talking Smack are almost the stuff of legend. That blistering promo Miz cut on Bryan on the other hand, definitely is the stuff of legend.

Daniel Bryan returned to in-ring action at Mania and asked Shane McMahon the next night to draft the Miz back to SmackDown since Bryan obviously had unfinished business.

Bryan and Miz will face off tonight on SmackDown on Miz TV and there are definitely going to be fireworks. The big question is, once again no pun intended, what role will Big Cass play in all this? Will Miz hire the big man as his bodyguard?
