WWE Rumour Report: 5 Biggest Rumours Of The Week

Another week, another batch of rumours to go through
Another week, another batch of rumours to go through

What a week of WWE television we had witnessed, from AJ Styles becoming the number one contender for the Universal Title to Roman Reigns becoming an enemy of the authority once again, and while the WWE creative team did not get everything right on Raw or Smackdown Live, as the brands made some mistakes along the way, the shows did answer a lot of questions.

From an overall perspective, this week in WWE programming was sort of eventful, as the company pushed forward to the Money in The Bank event in May, and the speculation around the event has been increasing at a rapid rate. After a lot of searching on the internet for rumours that will keep you informed about WWE's activities this week, here are the five most interesting news pieces from that treasure hunt.

#5 Becky NO Belts

Becky could be left with no titles after Money in the Bank

Becky Lynch has been a hot topic for quite a few months now. If the World Champion isn't roasting her future opponents on social media, she is making waves inside the ring, but the most interesting thing about Becky at the moment is the two titles she carries on her shoulders, and it seems like WWE have made up their minds with regards to that topic.

According to speculation, the two matches WWE set up at the Money in The Bank pay-per-view will see Lynch drop one of her titles, as Becky is scheduled to take on Lacey Evans with Raw Women's Title on the line, while on the same night she defends her Smackdown Live Title against Flair.

This seems like something that would be a mistake by the WWE, as many thought the unification of the belts would be more beneficial to the women's division as it lends more credibility to the champion, but we just have to wait and watch.

#4 IIconics To Fulfill Big Promises

Heading back home?
Heading back home?

Before Sasha Banks decided to walk out on the WWE, 'theBboss and her tag team partner Bayley promised to be the fighting champions that defended their titles against all on comers. Whether the challengers were from Raw, Smackdown Live or NXT, the former Women's Tag Team Champions were willing to put their belts on the line to prove they were one of the best in the business.

However, Banks and Bayley were dethroned at Wrestlemania by The IIconics who have been booked terribly by the WWE, as WWE has clearly chosen to portray them as cowardly heels that can't get the job done, but an interesting rumour has surfaced that WWE is planning on getting The IIconics to fulfill Banks and Bayley's bold promise of defending the titles on any brand. So could we see The Iconics go back down to NXT to challenge anyone to take their titles?

#3 Extreme Plans

Is this a spoiler?
Is this a spoiler?

The next pay-per-view after the 2019 Money in the Bank show is Extreme Rules 2019, and even though the event is almost two months away from taking place, rumours are already flying around suggesting what will go down at the hardcore event.

According to rumours, the Wells Fargo Centre (the venue of the Extreme Rules show) has advised three matches for the event, the first being Roman Reigns taking on Randy Orton, the second a Universal Title match between Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin, and AJ Styles taking on Drew McIntyre.

Also advertised for the show are Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley, so, when analyzing this rumour it is quite interesting to see if this proves to be true. If it is, then that means Styles fails to capture the Universal Title at Money in the Bank. These types of advertisements have been proven incorrect in the past but only time will tell.

#2 NXT Calls

Could Wolfe be a huge part of the brand?
Could Wolfe be a huge part of the brand?

One thing that WWE has been guilty of the last few years has been their management of the NXT talent that comes to the main roster, as the creative team has not truly done the outstanding NXT bred wrestlers any favours on Raw or on Smackdown Live, and it seems like Triple H might be looking to execute 'Plan B'.

Rumours are suggesting that some of the main roster's biggest underused talent could be heading down to NXT for another run in the developmental brand. This list of stars include wrestlers such as Alexander Wolfe of Sanity and Tyler Breeze, and it seems they could be some of NXT's newest acquisitions, but the question is what role could they play in Triple H's star-making factory?

Whether they become prominent stars or just wrestlers that pave the way for future stars, it will be interesting to witness how far they go in the company.

#1 Reason Why Andrade Moved To Smackdown Live

Raw, Smackdown Live, it really doesnt matter - Andrade should be in WWE's plans
Raw, Smackdown Live, it really doesnt matter - Andrade should be in WWE's plans

Andrade is a superstar for the future, as the former NXT Champion has been pegged as the next big thing in the WWE, which many thought could come to fruition when 'El Idolo' moved to Monday Night Raw in the Superstar Shakeup, but we might have been mistaken.

As it was reported just a few moments before Raw this week that Andrade moved back to Smackdown Live for reasons that seemed quite unclear. However, when it comes to controversial decisions by the WWE you could expect answers from some source on the internet, and it seems like we have our explanation.

Apparently, Andrade was moved back to the blue brand per request by former Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. If you didn't know already it has been rumoured for quite some time that Andrade is dating Flair, and it seems like Flair used her 'pull' in the company to get Andrade on the same brand as herself. This is quite an interesting rumour as it would be intriguing to see if WWE grows this off-screen relationship into an on-screen one.
