After a series of slow news days, today has been a hectic day at the office.

Roman Reigns has reportedly pulled out of his WrestleMania 36 match against Goldberg and the company has been forced to make changes to one of the main events of the show.

What led to The Big Dog deciding to pull out of the show after all the build-up? Who did WWE choose as his replacement and has the match already been taped?

We have all the answers.

There are also updates about another former WWE Champion possibly being sick and how it may have impacted Reigns' ouster from the WrestleMania card.

The plans for a top WWE faction have also been changed in the wake of an untimely injury.

Finally, we have an update about The Undertaker's physical condition ahead of his WrestleMania match against AJ Styles.

On that note, here is the latest edition of Sportskeeda's WWE Rumor Roundup:

#5. WWE has already taped Goldberg's new WrestleMania match

WWE needed a new WrestleMania opponent for Goldberg after Reigns made the call to sit this one out.

As revealed by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Braun Strowman reportedly wrestled Goldberg at the WrestleMania tapings, which happened on Wednesday and Thursday.

It's interesting to note that Reigns himself requested the company to keep him off WrestleMania, however, he was still present at the WWE Performance Center during the tapings.

Meltzer revealed:

"Yes, WrestleMania was taped Wednesday and Thursday and Roman Reigns did not wrestle Bill Goldberg. I believe Braun Strowman wrestled Bill Goldberg. Roman Reigns made the call himself. It was interesting because he was there and made the call."

As reported first by Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin, Roman Reigns' battle against leukemia has weakened his immune system, which puts him at a greater risk of getting infected by the Covid-19 virus.

Reigns made the call to pull out of WrestleMania and WWE has rightfully supported his decision.

#4. The Miz is reportedly sick

Roman Reigns may not compete at WrestleMania due to his health struggles but his decision may have been influenced by an external factor.

Dave Meltzer also revealed in the Wrestling Observer Radio that the decision to pull Reigns from WrestleMania may have had to do with The Miz getting sick and The Usos being unhappy about it.

Meltzer, unfortunately, couldn't elaborate on the story as he wasn't given all the details.

He, however, revealed the following:

It had to do, in some form with Miz being sick and The Usos not being happy about it and I don't really know much else. That's really all I was told.

WWE has reportedly completed taping WrestleMania and all the important shows, which means that the Superstars can now go into quarantine as the Performance Center goes into lockdown.

The Miz's reported sickness should ideally not affect the SmackDown Tag Team titles match as it may have already been filmed, however, it is a matter of concern that he was a part of the tapings.

#3. The Undertaker's physical condition

The Undertaker will take on AJ Styles in a Boneyard match at WrestleMania 36 and the odd stipulation of the match has given rise to speculation that it may have been booked to protect The Undertaker, who may not be at his physical best.

However, The Deadman is really fit and all the various surgeries he's undergone recently have improved his mobility to a great extent.

Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue told Korey Gunz on the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast that The Undertaker also has an impressive training regime in place to help with his preparations for the match.

Tom explained:

The Undertaker is actually really fit at the moment. He's on a very good training schedule. He's had surgeries recently which have really helped his mobility. He's not at his athletic peak but the Undertaker never wrestled as the Undertaker to his athletic peak. He could always do a lot more than he was doing. This is a man who would regularly dive over the top rope. He could do all of the flippy stuff that people do now and he could do it 95, 97 and so on.
He's very fit. He's ready to go. I don't think this is necessarily camouflaged for the Undertaker.

#2. The Authors of Pain may not bee seen on TV

Seth Rollins' heel faction on RAW could undergo major changes as Rezar of The Authors of Pain recently underwent surgery to fix his torn right bicep and he could be out of action for 7-8 months, as revealed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

As per Meltzer, WWE has planned to not use Akam in Rezar's absence, which means that Rollins will be without his musclemen for the foreseeable future.

AOP has an unfortunate history of injuries and Rezar's latest surgery comes as another blow to the former NXT Tag Team Champions.

At one point in time, Rezar and Akam were rumored to be in involved in the RAW Tag Team Championship for WrestleMania, however, the plan was seemingly changed and WWE booked Angel Garza & Andrade to challenge The Street Profits for the titles.

Will The Monday Night Messiah recruit two new Superstars in his stable or will he continue his alliance with Murphy for the time being until the return of AOP?

WWE could also plant the seeds of a split, leading to a match between Rollins and Murphy.

#1. Braun Strowman regrets putting out a controversial tweet

As of last week, Braun Strowman was one of the hated men in wrestling online. The Monster Among Men made a controversial statement about independent wrestlers not being paid due to the coronavirus pandemic. The former Intercontinental Champion said that the indie performers who can't afford to pay their bills should look out for another profession altogether.

The fan backlash was intense and there were also a few people in the WWE who were upset with Braun Strowman, as revealed by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio.

Strowman, though, was spoken to by his friends backstage and he now realizes his mistake and regrets making the comments.

Meltzer revealed:

A lot of people were upset, including in the company because so many of those people came through that (independent circuit), and he didn't. He is (apologetic), You know it's funny when I wrote about it (in the Newsletter), people were going like, why aren't you going harder on him because if you yell at him too much it's going to dig in and get worse, but if you go, look, if you are a friend of his, just explain it to him and he's got friends, and from what I understand, they did and he sort of got it. He didn't really get it at first but he got it and he wished he didn't write it and all that.
So it's not like other people who dig their feet in and make it worse, he was not that. So good for him on that. But, people don't know that, I know that but most people don't know that.
