WWE News: Vince Russo offers controversial career advice to top WWE superstar

What's the story?

Vince Russo has said and done some pretty controversial things in the past and that's why it should be no surprise that he is running his mouth once again. The interesting part is however that he may have a point when it comes to this particular claim and the superstar that he was talking to might benefit from taking his advice.

In case you didn't know...

Vince Russo served as a writer for WWE between 1992-1999 before jumping ship to WCW and help lead their writing team. Unfortunately for Russo, after getting beaten in the ratings by WCW for over a year, WWE finally turned the tables and eventually bought out WCW in 2001.

Ever since then, however, Russo has been spouting off at the mouth about all of WWE's perceived mistakes and simultaneously begging the company to take him back. He also worked as a writer on TNA for a time, but that didn't turn out very well either. With that being said, he is a very controversial figure in WWE and his comments, as always, need to be taken with a grain of salt.

The heart of the matter

Vince Russo is known for going on social media after Raw and telling fans what he felt the company did wrong and did so once again this week as well. This time though, he praised former Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss and claimed that she needed to quit the company before it brings her down.

“Alexa, you’re too good for that company,” Russo said in a video tweet after Raw,". “S– like this is going to make you look stupid. You are a star. You have the makings of a star. Someone your age, the confident and poise, the way you carry yourself amidst the chaos and all the clueless people backstage, how you can still be good with having them trying to influence you [is incredible]."

“You’re too good for that show. Russo when discussing Alexa Bliss potential outside the company. You’re too good for that product. You need to get yourself an agent. You need to go outside of that because they’re going to drag you down. She’s very good at what she does.”

What's next?

Alexa Bliss is scheduled to take part in an eight women Money in The Bank ladder match at the upcoming pay-per-view and will have to overcome Ember Moon, Natalya, Dana Brooke, Bayley, Carmella, Naomi and Mandy Rose in order to get back into the title picture. Either that or pick a fight with Becky Lynch.
