Ten questions which were raised after this week's RAW and SmackDown Live (5-11 November 2018)

Survivor Series is coming
Survivor Series is coming

WWE programming came to us from Manchester, England this week. It was all about the fall-out from the Crown Jewel event and a build-up to Survivor Series Pay-Per-View.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

It revealed reasons for decisions taken at WWE Crown Jewel. It also unveiled certain matches which are set to unfold in the coming weeks. We got a clear picture of what is going to happen at the Survivor Series PPV on November, 18.

But this week also raised a few questions for which WWE will be looking to find the answers in the coming weeks. Today, we will list ten such questions and will also try to figure out an answer for them.

Do sound yourself in the comment section below.

#1 Why did not McIntyre and Ziggler get their rematch?

Former Champions
Former Champions

On the recent episode of WWE RAW, Corbin forced Seth Rollins to defend his Tag Team Championship against The Authors of Pain.

As it was a handicap match, the prowess of AOP was too much for Rollins to handle and as a result, he lost the titles to them.

It was good to see trigger being pulled on AOP but it also raises a question. Why did not the team of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler enforced their rematch clause?

Rematch clause is an option which is available to all the champions when they lose a Championship.

This clause is often enforced in WWE and is used as a way to further storylines. This could have also been used this time and McIntyre and Ziggler could have been crowned once again as the Champions. But this time no rematch clause was enforced.

This could be due to some other plans for the Raw Tag Team Championship. Or it could be just because McIntyre and Ziggler are part of the men's Survivor Series team for the Red Brand.

#2 Are the Women Tag Team Championships going to be unveiled soon?

Nia-Tamina can be a force
Nia-Tamina can be a force

When WWE Evolution was about to happen, the rumour market was full of news regarding the launch of the Women's Tag Team Championships.

It did not turn out as expected as no announcement regarding the title was made by WWE. It was anticipated that WWE had dropped the ball on the titles but the developments that are happening in women's division of both the brands have once again rekindled the fire.

On the most recent episode of WWE Raw, Nia Jax made a team with Tamina to destroy Ember Moon. This newly formed coalition is just an addition to the already budding tag team scene in the Women's roster.

New teams like Asuka and Naomi, Sasha Banks and Bayley and established teams like The IIconics and The Riott Squad are already part of the shuffle.

A new set of titles will not hurt the quality of the Women's division. It will only enhance the quality of both the brands.

#3 What happened to the Strowman-McIntyre feud?

What happened to this feud?
What happened to this feud?

A feud which has all the potential to be a show-stealer has been slowly sidelined by WWE as there was no mention of the heat between the two guys on the recent RAW episode.

These two were trading offences throughout the build-up to the Crown Jewel PPV. After the PPV, Strowman has changed his target from McIntyre to the Acting General Manager Baron Corbin.

Though he has a genuine reason of annihilating Corbin, still this feud should have been allowed to happen. At least a mention regarding the feud should have been made by the WWE on RAW this week.

WWE may have decided to do this at a bigger stage than TLC, but if they will wait for too long then fans may lose interest in the feud. After Survivor Series, the two behemoths should look horns against each other.

#4 When will Balor finally indulge in a full-time program?

Two are fighting since time immemorable
Two are fighting since time immemorable

Many superstars get injured and their push is delayed. But Finn Balor's case was sorry to say the least.

Balor was red-hot when he arrived from NXT and was immediately crowned the inaugural Universal Champion by the WWE.

Everyone knows what happened after that, as he got injured and was forced to relinquish his title.

He returned to a lot of fanfare but since then he had always struggled to remain in the limelight. He is undoubtedly one of the most over superstar in the WWE right now.

In an era when it is hard for WWE to get someone cheered, Balor always draws huge pops from crowd across the globe.

The question is when will finally Balor return to his old position? Or when will he enter into a proper full-fledged program?

He has been fighting against Lashley on a consistent basis. When it happened for the first time it was fresh but now it has become dull and repetitive.

They are continuously exchanging wins and those wins are not helping either of them. Before Lashley, Balor was doing the same thing against Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin.

It is high time for WWE to do something meaningful with Balor and stop making him wrestle the same opponents week in and week out.

#5 How is Raw going to fill it's Men's Tag Team Survivor Series Team?

Lack of credibility is hurting
Lack of credibility is hurting

When one looks at RAW's tag team division, we will find that there is a lot of potential. The thing they are lacking is credibility.

RAW's Tag Team Division has teams like The Revivals and AOP which are impressive but the other teams in the division are underwhelming.

Either they are the Ascensions or the B-Team or the team of Slater and Rhyno or the newly formed team of Roode and Gable, none of them has been given ample opportunities to establish themselves as a team.

If you compare this with their counterpart, Smackdown Live!, they have a stacked tag team division consisting the likes of New Day, The Usos, Sanity, etc.

The problem Raw will face is how will they fill their team with credible teams with just one more week left for the PPV.

#6 Is Rey Mysterio Randy's next victim?

Poor Rey Mysterio
Poor Rey Mysterio

On the Smackdown Live! after Hell in a Cell PPV, Randy Orton sent a message to WWE Universe that he has found his next victim after Jeff Hardy.

At Crown Jewel, Mysterio defeated Orton in the first round of the World Cup after which the Viper ambushed The Master Of The 619.

On the recent episode of Smackdown, when Mysterio was celebrating after defeating Andrade Cien Almas, Orton once again assaulted Mysterio.

This indicates that Mysterio could be the next victim for Randy Orton. Rey Mysterio is part of the Smackdown Live!'s Men Survivor Series Team.

For the first time in the last two years, Randy Orton will not represent Smackdown Live! at Survivor Series PPV. This could lead to an unfortunate elimination for Mysterio at Survivor Series due to an interference caused by Randy Orton.

The question is whether Randy has gone back in years and has brought back his legend killer gimmick, as he is continuously ambushing superstars from yester-years.

#7 Is Flair out of Survivor Series?

Did Charlotte reject Paige's offer?
Did Charlotte reject Paige's offer?

When Paige was announcing the Women Survivor Series Team for Smackdown Live!, she named Charlotte Flair as the last women of the five. But instead of Flair, former Absolution member Mandy Rose came out and started a brawl among the women.

Is this is a sign that Mandy Rose has replaced Charlotte Flair? Or we are going to have a match between the two to decide who is going to get that spot? Did Mandy Rose attack Charlotte backstage? Or has The Queen rejected Paige's offer of being the captain?

It could also be a way to tease a fraction between two former Absolution mates, Rose and Deville.

This could possibly set-up a match between the two on a future date. These two can also have a match next week in order to determine who deserves to be a part of the Survivor Series team.

With just one week left for Survivor Series WWE has very little time to develop any feud.

#8 Is Rusev Day storyline over?

This should have continued
This should have continued

Rusev Day was one of the most engaging storylines of an era when people have a very small attention span.

WWE creative team is often found struggling to make fans care for a particular feud and are working hard to get a Superstar over or to get him some heat from the crowd.

In such a time, when Rusev naturally went over and his feud with Aiden English was being loved by the WWE fans, WWE dropped the ball on the feud.

Without any proper build-up, on a random episode of Smackdown Live! their blow off match took place. This is disappointing as this feud had the potential to be a PPV worthy one.

This feud not getting any PPV spots is a disgrace to both the performers. The bigger point is that WWE may have extended the feud but there have been no signs in that direction.

As neither of them was part for the proceedings of last week, is the Rusev Day storyline really over?

#9 Is Nikki Cross finally here?

Twisted Sister
Twisted Sister

When SaNity made their debut this year on Smackdown Live!, people were surprised as they were not accompanied by Nikki Cross.

The NXT's Twisted Sister remained in the yellow brand. Since then people have been urging for the debut of Cross on the main roster.

On the most recent episode of Smackdown Live!, when Becky Lynch gave an open challenge to anyone in the locker room, Nikki Cross arrived with her group Sanity. The reaction she got is enough to prove that she is very much over with the crowd.

The question is whether Nikki Cross has finally arrived on the main roster or was it just a one-off appearance from the Twisted Sister.

Nikki Cross is an amazing talent and she could be an incredible addition to current Smackdown Live!'s women division.

She could also help SaNity recover the old glory from their NXT days.

#10 Is Daniel Bryan turning heel?

Why Daniel???
Why Daniel???

One of the most confusing things that emulated on this week's WWE programming was the announcement that The Miz and Bryan will be the co-captains for Smackdown Live's Men Survivor Series Team.

But later on in the night, more drama unraveled when Bryan attacked Samoa Joe and later Shane McMahon as well.

Everyone knows Bryan is undoubtedly one of the most over Superstars with the crowd. But since his return, he has not been able to achieve his past glory. This could be an inspiration for Bryan to turn heel on his boss, Shane McMahon.

This could possibly be a swerve as according to several reports in various media outlets Shane McMahon is going to turn heel. This could be a way to shock people by doing the opposite.

These were my ten questions which can be raised by this week's WWE programming. What do you think about them? Do give your views in the comment section below.
