Watch: AJ Styles shows disappointment for female WWE star in unseen backstage segment

AJ Styles has shown a completely different side of himself since his return on a recent episode of WWE SmackDown. The Phenomenal One acted in an unexpected fashion in a non-televised segment.

Fans may have noticed a drastic change in AJ Styles' personality since his return from injury. He has abandoned his stablemates from The O.C., namely, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Mia Yim. While Styles competed in a three-on-two Handicap Match on SmackDown this week, he also engaged in a backstage segment featuring his former stablemate.

In a digital exclusive, Mia Yim confronted AJ Styles to ask about tips after her WWE Women's Championship match against IYO SKY on last week's episode of SmackDown. The Phenomenal One asked her if she triumphed in the battle and walked away in disappointment. The video ended with a sad Mia Yim in the camera frame.

Only time will tell what this new version of AJ Styles will do leading up to WrestleMania 40. It will also be interesting to see how Mia Yim acts following the backstage interaction.

AJ Styles' Road to WrestleMania 40 will be decided after his match at WWE Royal Rumble 2024

After The Bloodline viciously took him out for months, AJ Styles did not waste any time after recovering and went straight after Roman Reigns. After The Tribal Chief interrupted the Triple-Threat number one contender's match on SmackDown: New Year's Revolution last week, the Royal Rumble 2024 Premium Live Event will now witness a Fatal Four-Way Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship featuring Reigns, Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight.

If The Phenomenal One defies the odds and wins the match, he will become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and could go on to headline WrestleMania 40. However, fans expect Randy Orton or Roman Reigns to emerge victorious.

If that happens, Styles will have to find a new opponent for The Grandest Stage of Them All. Looking at the current storyline, it could very well be LA Knight or Randy Orton.
