Roman Reigns is wrestling's biggest star today

Vince Russo fears Randy Orton could become just another name to lose to Roman Reigns as part of his historic run with the Undisputed Universal Title.

The Viper has been absent from WWE since May 2022 due to a back injury. Now, close to a year and a half later, Orton is rumored to be preparing for a return. Though fans initially expected him to rejoin forces with his RK-Bro teammate, Matt Riddle, upon his comeback, The Original Bro was recently released from the company.

This means Randy Orton is all but guaranteed to return as a singles star, and viewers are eagerly waiting to see what WWE has in store for him. On the latest episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo pointed out how the promotion was feeding one big name after another to Roman Reigns.

Russo fears Orton could meet the same mate, as he could become just another obstacle on Reigns' path before he heads to the main event of WrestleMania 40.

"I don't know; I hope they have a game plan in place for Roman Reigns. For what you've invested in the guy, there better be something in place. If it is him and Cody at WrestleMania, bro, then you have to fill time from now until then. 'Yeah, we'll throw LA Knight in there this month.' Okay, great. And then what? So, to me, bro, that would be another guy to throw at Roman Reigns before they get to WrestleMania. That's what I would assume." [2:17 - 2:57]

LA Knight on his upcoming match with Roman Reigns

One of the most hotly anticipated WWE matches is between Roman Reigns and LA Knight, with the duo set to collide at Crown Jewel 2023. In a recent interview, Knight mentioned that regardless of whether he wins the Undisputed Universal Title or not at Crown Jewel, fans would remember his match with Reigns.

"The mindset is just living up to everything that I have purported to be," said Knight. "The mindset is living up to everything that I have led the world to believe that I am for good or for worse. So for me, it's going into Saudi Arabia, and whether I come out with that title or not, taking a piece of Roman Reigns with me in the sense that people are going to remember this."

LA Knight is currently at the height of his popularity, and it's safe to assume that Saudi Arabia could firmly be in his favor come November 4, 2023.
