Major WWE star wins their first match in 3 months on SmackDown

On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Bayley collided with Zelina Vega in a singles match.

The Role Model is one of the top female stars on the show, and she's the leader of Damage CTRL, which includes IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. However, the former women's champion hasn't been very successful this year when it comes to her in-ring performance, as she's lost a lot of matches.

During this week's episode of SmackDown, she was involved in a backstage confrontation with Zelina Vega that set up a match between them on the show. After the bell rang, the multi-time women's champion proceeded to mock Vega for her height. However, the latter took her down with multiple moves.

Bayley tried to hit a powerslam, but she crashed into the turnbuckle. Zelina seemingly attempted a tornado DDT but was slammed on the mat instead. Baley tried to hit the Bayley-to-Belly, but Zelina Vega avoided it and kicked her in the face.

Zelina then hit a modified 619 and a metereoa for a two-count. IYO SKY tried to get involved in the match, but she was also taken out with a 619. Ultimately, Bayley nailed Zelina with the Rose Plant to emerge victorious.

This was her first singles win on TV since the July 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, where she also defeated Vega.
