There are more couples in WWE at present than ever before, but it appears to be because the roster is now much bigger than it once was. With SmackDown, RAW, NXT, 205 Live, and NXT UK, it means that there are a lot more faces in the company and more potential for stars to meet and become friends.

Whilst many couples much like Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae or even Keith Lee and Mia Yim both met before they came to WWE, there are a number of current and former WWE couples that met whilst they were part of the company and bonded over their love of the business.

The following list looks at 20 couples who have revealed that they met during their time together in either WWE or NXT.

#20. Bianca Belair and Montez Ford

Bianca Belair and her husband Montez Ford are now on Monday Night RAW together, after Belair was promoted on the RAW After WrestleMania. This is the first time the couple has been able to work together on-screen, but it's well-known that they have been in a relationship for a number of years.

Ford and Belair come from very different backgrounds, but Belair recently noted that she had a crush on the RAW Tag Team Champion from the moment they met at WWE's Performance Center. The couple began dating, announced their engagement in 2017 before going on to marry the following year.

"For me it was. I remember seeing him and just thinking, I have friends here and they can be witnesses, ‘Wow, that’s a beautiful man.’ I had an immediate crush on him," she told Lillian Garcia on Chasing Glory.

#19. Beth Phoenix and Edge

Edge recently made his return to WWE following a nine-year hiatus, and whilst The Rated-R Superstar has been able to make a dramatic comeback, this is the first time many of the WWE Universe have realized that Edge and former Women's Champion Beth Phoenix are married.

The couple came into the spotlight when Phoenix was inducted into the Hall of Fame back in 2017, but it was only recently that The Glamazon was able to be used as part of a storyline with her husband.

In Edge's recent 24 Documentary, the couple revealed that despite working in WWE for a number of years at the same time, they didn't really connect until Edge Appreciation Night, which was his final appearance on RAW back in September 2011.

The couple has been together ever since and currently have two daughters called Lyric and Ruby.

Carmella first made waves in WWE when she became the manager of Big Cass and Enzo Amore whilst the duo were part of the NXT Tag Team Division. As The Princess of Staten Island, Carmella became a star in her own right and began a relationship with Big Cass.

The couple survived a number of years together despite Cass and Enzo being promoted to the main roster without their manager and then Carmella being promoted to SmackDown whilst her boyfriend remained on RAW.

The couple even starred in Total Divas for one season, before Carmella revealed that the couple had opted to go their separate ways. Cass was later released from the company, whilst Carmella has since started a relationship with Corey Graves, another star that she met whilst working in WWE.

Dolph Ziggler and Dana Brooke were once in a relationship after the couple crossed paths when Brooke was still working alongside Emma down in NXT. Brooke and Ziggler were not as public as many other couples in NXT at the time but it was well-known that they were in a relationship and seemingly bonded over their love of working out.

The couple wasn't together for very long since Brooke then moved onto a relationship with Bodybuilder Dallas McCarver who sadly passed away back in 2017.

Another couple that originally came together whilst working together in NXT is Buddy Murphy and Alexa Bliss. The duo was part of BAMFalongside Wesley Blake and whilst working as a unit in developmental the couple seemingly struck up a friendship.

Bliss was then promoted to the main roster without Murphy but the couple proved that their relationship was strong enough to withstand the move when they announced their engagement a few weeks later.

Murphy finally followed Bliss to the main roster and was part of 205 Live a few years later, whilst the couple also gained a spot on Total Divas, but it was highlighted in the show that there were some issues between the couple and not long afterward they announced their split. Bliss is currently a Women's Tag Team Champion on SmackDown whilst Murphy appears on RAW.

#15. Renee Young and Dean Ambrose

Renee Young and Dean Ambrose's relationship started off when Ambrose came to WWE and Young and the former Shield member had an instant connection. Young has talked about their meeting a number of times when she revealed that Ambrose didn't talk to many people backstage but she was one of them and the couple became very close.

They married in secret in the back garden of their home back in 2015 which was something they kept quiet until the following year. Young still currently works for WWE as an occasional interviewer and as part of WWE Backstage, whilst Ambrose is now known as Jon Moxley as part of AEW.

#14. Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan

Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan are one of WWE's best-known couples since they are currently stars of both Total Divas and Total Bellas. Bryan and Brie initially began dating back in 2011 following the storyline they had on WWE TV together, something Bryan revealed in his autobiography which was released after WrestleMania 30.

Brie and Daniel went on to marry following his World Championship win back in 2014 before welcoming their first child back in 2017, a daughter called Birdie Joe. Bryan retired from the company the year before and Brie followed her husband out the door before it was revealed that Bryan could return to the ring in 2018.

Brie and Daniel are currently expecting a second child, something that both Brie and her sister Nikki announced earlier this year.

#13. Nikki Bella and John Cena

John Cena and Nikki Bella's relationship was enough for WWE to spawn Total Divas into a reality, but it was a union that was doomed from the beginning. Nikki and John met whilst working together in WWE after Bella initially dated Dolph Ziggler.

The duo revealed a number of times throughout their relationship that they wanted different things, which meant that Nikki wanted to get married and have children whilst John didn't want to get married again and wasn't looking to have any children.

Cena seemingly changed his mind when he proposed to Nikki back at WrestleMania 33 in the middle of the ring, but merely months later the couple called the wedding off and went their separate ways. Both Cena and Nikki are now engaged to different people, whilst Nikki recently announced that she and Artem Chigvintsev are expecting their first child.

#12. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch

WWE's current power couple consists of former World Champion Seth Rollins and current RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch. The couple revealed their relationship following last year's WrestleMania where they both became Champions.

Back in the summer of 2019, the duo announced on Instagram that they were engaged and ahead to the COVID-19 pandemic they were planning their wedding. At present, the couple both currently work together on Monday Night RAW and are one of only a handful of couples on this list who have been able to work together on WWE TV.

#11. Undertaker and Michelle McCool

The Undertaker has been married three times throughout his career, but his current marriage is to former Women's Champion Michelle McCool. This marriage came to light as part of the recent feud between The Deadman and AJ Styles where he referenced Michelle a number of times and blamed her for Taker's current issues in his career.

Michelle and Undertaker met whilst they were working together in WWE back in 2007 and went on to marry in 2010. Michelle retired from WWE the following year when she lost to Layla at Extreme Rules in 2011 before the couple then welcomed their only child together, a daughter called Faith in 2012.

#10. Charlotte and Andrade

Another current power couple in WWE consists of NXT Women's Champion Charlotte and The United States Champion Andrade. The couple has been very public about their relationship over the past year and even revealed that they are now engaged. Charlotte has already been married and divorced twice, but it appears that Andrade and the former 10-time Women's Champion have really hit it off.

Charlotte even revealed that the couple didn't fully understand each other when they first met, but there are no longer any communication barriers between them.

#9. Aleister Black and Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega may appear on WWE TV as the business manager of Andrade, but outside of WWE, she is married to Aleister Black. The former NXT star was originally in a relationship with Austin Aries when she first came to WWE but after the couple split she became very private about her personal life and the only time the WWE found out about Black and Vega was following their wedding back in 2018.

The couple currently both work together on Monday Night RAW but are much more open about their relationship since they now share cute updates on Instagram.

#8. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are the original power couple of WWE, but even this duo has the company to thank for bringing them together or the creative team who put them in a storyline throughout 1999. Triple H was originally in a relationship with Chyna in his early years in the company, but this quickly changed following his storyline with Stephanie McMahon.

The Game recently revealed that Vince McMahon tried to make his life as awkward as possible when he started dating his daughter but this didn't prevent the couple from continuing their relationship and officially marrying in 2003.

The couple now has three daughters together and are still going strong after more than two decades together.

#7. Lana and Rusev

Lana came to WWE after applying for the 2013 Diva Search that was won by Eva Marie and JoJo Offerman. She was aligned with Rusev down in NXT and the couple seemingly hit it off straight away and have been in a relationship ever since.

Despite currently being part of a storyline where it was revealed that Lana cheated on Rusev with Bobby Lashley, the couple is still going strong and when they officially married in July 2016, they were able to have two weddings, one in Bulgaria with Rusev's family and one in America with Lana's.

#6. CM Punk and AJ Lee

CM Punk and AJ Lee became close friends as soon as they met and AJ Lee even revealed in her autobiography that they would text and give each other advice all the time. Lee and Punk were then put into a storyline on WWE TV where they were forced to kiss and it was then that Lee realized that she wanted to be in a relationship with Punk.

The couple later finally got together and were in a relationship when Punk left WWE back in 2014 and went on to marry the following year merely months after Lee retired from the company herself.

Sable was seen as one of the most beautiful women in the company throughout the Attitude Era, but when she returned to the WWE back in 2003, she met a young Brock Lesnar and the couple immediately hit it off.

The duo married back in 2006 after Sable retired from wrestling and has since welcomed two sons, Duke and Turk.

#4. Naomi and Jimmy Uso

Naomi and Jimmy Uso have worked together many times on WWE but all these times came after the couple married back in 2014. The relationship between the duo first came to light when they became regular cast members on Total Divas back in 2013 and then married as part of the show.

Naomi has also become close friends with Tamina Snuka, who she is now related to following her marriage to the former WWE Tag Team Champion.

The former Women's Champion became the stepmother of Uso's two children when they married and the couple has since continued to work together both on and off-screen since.

#3. Ricochet and Kacy Catanzaro

Ricochet came to WWE after making headlines all over the world when it came to his high flying style, but the former United States Champion was also able to gain the attention of American Ninja Warrior Kacy Catanzaro when he finally made it to WWE.

The couple has been quite public about their relationship since meeting in the Performance Center when they were both training for NXT. Kacy has made a number of main roster appearances in recent years but at present, she still works for NXT whilst Ricochet is part of Monday Night RAW.

#2. The Miz and Maryse

The Miz and Maryse initially met when The Miz was the judge on the 2006 Diva Search, Maryse revealed that at the time he was rude to her which is why it wasn't until they worked together on WWE TV in 2009 that they actually hit it off.

The Miz even took Maryse back to the hotel where the auditions for The Diva Search took place so that he could propose. The couple married back in February 2014 and Maryse has since returned to WWE and been part of a number of storylines.

At present, the couple has two daughters together called Monroe Sky and Madison Jade Mizanin.

#1. Tye Dillinger and Peyton Royce

Tye Dillinger and Peyton Royce are currently a couple that is split between AEW and WWE after finally marrying back in 2019. Whilst Dillinger doesn't look back on his WWE career with much affection, he has the company to thank for bringing him and his wife Peyton Royce together.

The couple has been dating for a number of years after first coming together in NXT and then working around the fact that Royce was promoted to the main roster whilst Dillinger remained in NXT. Despite The Perfect 10 requesting his WWE release back in February 2018, Royce has remained part of WWE and the couple is now split between two of wrestling's biggest companies.
