8 things WWE subtly told us on RAW: Forgotten Superstar to beat legend next week, Drew McIntyre gets revenge on Champion after 2 years (April 13th, 2020)

Welcome to this week's edition of things WWE subtly told us on RAW! While it certainly wasn't the best episode, quite a bit happened, leading to many talking points for this article.

The episode was headlined by a Champion vs Champion match and saw a total of three Money in the Bank qualifying matches - where three women cemented their place in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

There seem to be new challengers and some old ones as well, with WWE beginning the build to the next major PPV. Without going on much further, let's jump right into the things that WWE subtly told us on the second RAW after WrestleMania.

As always, voice your thoughts and opinions in the comments below:

#8. Revenge and redemption for Drew McIntyre

Champion vs Champion
Champion vs Champion

The main event of RAW was a Champion vs Champion match between United States Champion Andrade and Drew McIntyre. The Scotsman opened RAW to talk about what happened at WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar and then The Big Show before being confronted by Zelina Vega and Andrade.

The United States Champion Andrade was the man who beat Drew McIntyre for the NXT Championship over two years ago at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, during which the Scotsman suffered an injury that ended his NXT run and kept him out of action until April 2018 - where he made his triumphant return to Monday Night RAW.

He had a relatively short match with Andrade, who he defeated to get his revenge after nearly two and a half years. It was a big moment of redemption for him, but his celebration was cut short as Seth Rollins attacked him to declare himself as the next WWE Championship challenger. But more on that later.

#7. Who will go through in the upcoming MITB qualifiers?

Three first-time-ever matches
Three first-time-ever matches

We're going to be treated with three incredible Money in the Bank qualifying matches next week, as Rey Mysterio takes on Murphy, while Aleister Black attempts to secure his spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

An interesting qualifier will see WWE legend MVP take on Apollo Crews in a match that could go either way. We expect Apollo Crews, who has been largely forgotten these past few years, to defeat MVP to cement his spot in the Men's MITB ladder match.

Apollo Crews' bout against Aleister Black last week indicated that he's going to be seriously pushed going forward. Although, we wouldn't expect him to win the MITB ladder match, beating MVP and having a good showing.

With Rey Mysterio vs Murphy, we love and hate the match at the same time. We love it because it's a first-time-ever match-up between two world-class competitors and we expect it to be great, but we hate it because only one of the two can get the MITB ladder match spot.

We expect Mysterio to win as he adds a more exciting element to the ladder match, while Black should qualify with relative ease.

#6. A big future for Cedric Alexander and Ricochet

The match of the night
The match of the night

Cedric Alexander and Ricochet only officially became a tag team last week in what was their second match together. They had a great showing against the former RAW and NXT Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders, who returned after two months.

While WWE could easily have had a squash match, they chose to make Alexander and Ricochet look great, with the two coming the closest to beating them since Seth Rollins and Murphy earlier this year.

They had the best match of the night and took the former Champions to the limit before falling short by a narrow margin. It appears as though Alexander and Ricochet are now a legitimate tag team and will likely have a good future ahead. RAW needs more tag teams and the two exciting high-flyers will make a great addition to the division.

Despite the loss, it's only their start together as a team and before they inevitably separate to be singles stars again, they could rack up the tag team accolades.

#5. Is the end near?

Dissent and more dissent
Dissent and more dissent

It's been clear for a long time now that the marriage between Bobby Lashley and Lana wouldn't last too long on screen. With the previous storyline involving Rusev being scrapped, it likely means that WWE will soon end the pairing of Lana and Bobby Lashley.

After WrestleMania 36, a frustrated Lashley said that he's probably going to need a new manager or a new wife. He faced No Way Jose, who turned it into a competitive match-up.

However, Lashley went to Lana at ringside and told her to "shut the hell up", with Lana's reaction telling the whole story. He came close to losing to No Way Jose but finished him with a spear, after which he walked off with Lana.

While Lashley is going to have to take a lot of building to get to the level of challenging and facing Brock Lesnar, a start would be to end the pairing with Lana. That's exactly what seems to be happening and it may work out better for both of them.

#4. Who's next for The Street Profits?

Bianca Belair gave the Tag Team Champions a harsh reminder of where they stand
Bianca Belair gave the Tag Team Champions a harsh reminder of where they stand

The Street Profits didn't take too long to find success on Monday Night RAW, beating Seth Rollins & Murphy to win the RAW Tag Team Championship. They successfully defended it against Angel Garza & Austin Theory at WrestleMania, repeating the feat against the same team one night later on RAW.

Last week, they had their hands full with Garza and Theory and Zelina Vega as well - all three of whom took on the Champions and Bianca Belair. When The Street Profits cut a promo praising and taking shots at The Viking Raiders, Bianca Belair gave them a harsh reminder - that they never beat The Viking Raiders.

She told them as bluntly as she could about how the Champions have been 'avoiding' The Viking Raiders and pushed them on to go get the smoke and retain the Tag Team titles. With a lack of tag teams around, we expect The Viking Raiders to get the first crack at the RAW Tag Team gold going forward.

#3. A new faction has been formed?

The start of something new?
The start of something new?

After Andrade was suspended for 30 days following his Wellness Policy Violation, Zelina Vega recruited a new client - Angel Garza. Garza was supposed to team up with Andrade to take on The Street Profits for the RAW Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 36, but the United States Champion had to pull out due to an injury, with Vega recruiting Austin Theory from NXT as his replacement.

She's now been on triple-duty and all three competitors were in action. Austin Theory took on Akira Tozawa while Angel Garza took on a local competitor. Only Andrade was unsuccessful, losing to Drew McIntyre clean.

Either way, it was clear that Zelina Vega has started a new faction with them - a pairing that we expect to see for quite a few months on WWE TV. While we aren't sure how Austin Theory fits into all of this, he's certainly benefited from getting a big spot on the card and a place in a faction that could continue to rise.

#2. Could a RAW female Superstar be a MITB favorite?

Shayna Baszler was dominant
Shayna Baszler was dominant

We had three Money in the Bank qualifying matches - Asuka vs Ruby Riott, Shayna Baszler vs Sarah Logan, and Nia Jax vs Kairi Sane. Asuka defeated Riott in a competitive match-up while Shayna Baszler squashed Sarah Logan so bad that the match had to be stopped prematurely. As for the third match, Nia Jax defeated Kairi Sane to take the third spot on RAW.

Given that WWE is trying to avoid having eight people or more in the ring, we wouldn't be surprised if the match will be competed between six Superstars - three from RAW and three from SmackDown. As of now, Dana Brooke vs Naomi is the only qualifying match for the women on SmackDown, but this year's field is going to be interesting either way.

Shayna Baszler will be a heavy favorite to win just like she was inside the Elimination Chamber. There seems to be a much higher chance of a RAW Superstar winning the Women's MITB than a SmackDown one.

#1. The wrath of Rollins rains on Drew McIntyre

Seth Rollins made his presence known
Seth Rollins made his presence known

After WrestleMania 36, Seth Rollins appeared to tease a big change in character - possibly bringing out a more aggressive side of himself. He cut two short promos backstage, the first of which seemed far too abrupt.

After Drew McIntyre defeated Andrade in their Champion vs Champion main event, he was hardly given time to celebrate as Seth Rollins instantly attacked him from behind, revealing himself to be the next title challenger.

We have a few reasons why Seth Rollins challenged Drew McIntyre, but we believe that he's the perfect opponent for the WWE Champion right now. WWE always makes sure to have great post-WrestleMania feuds for the World Championships and this year, we'll most likely be getting Drew McIntyre vs Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman vs 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt at Money in the Bank 2020.

The PPV is already looking stacked. We don't expect Seth Rollins to beat McIntyre, but he's big enough where he can afford to take a loss and not get hurt. We imagine that this will take up quite some time between now and SummerSlam in August.
