WWE Clash of Champions takes place in just a few weeks and it's already been confirmed that both Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman will be pulling double duty at the show. They will open and close the show with the Tag Team Championships and the Universal title on the line.

It will be the first time Braun Strowman has had to pull double duty on a pay-per-view, but this isn't something new for his tag team partner, Seth Rollins, who pulls double duty regularly on Monday Night Raw as well.

At WWE Night of Champions 2015, Rollins defended the WWE United States Championship and the World Heavyweight title.

Seth and Braun Strowman are yet to pull double duty at Clash of Champions, however, several other superstars have pulled double duty in the past. Here is a list of superstars who have managed this feat in recent times.

Honorable mentions: Bret Hart, Randy Savage.

#6 Kurt Angle - King of the Ring 2001

Kurt Angle didn't only pull double duty, he pulled triple duty as part of the King of the Ring pay-per-view in 2001.

Angle competed three times on the show. Firstly, he was in a match against Christian in the semi-final of the King of the Ring tournament, followed by the final where he was defeated by Edge.

Interestingly, Angle then competed in one of the best-known matches of his career, as he took on Shane McMahon in a street fight. Despite already competing twice as part of the pay-per-view, the former General Manager of Raw was still able to come out victorious against McMahon in a match that lasted almost half an hour.

#5 Edge - No Way Out 2009

Edge was forced into retirement due to a serious injury in 2011. The Rated R Superstar was one of the biggest stars in the company, and he was given the first-ever Money in the Bank contract.

No Way Out 2009 was probably one of the most memorable nights of his career because he competed more than once. He is the only star in history to walk into a pay-per-view with one championship and walk out with another.

Edge walked into the Elimination Chamber match with the WWE Championship but was eliminated from the match by Jeff Hardy after just three minutes. Edge then decided to compete in the other Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight title, taking out Kofi Kingston and stealing his spot.

He eliminated John Cena and Rey Mysterio to became WWE World Heavyweight Champion, walking out of Washington with a different championship.

#4 Chris Jericho - Vengeance 2001

Chris Jericho is one of the poster boys for All Elite Wrestling. Despite this change, Jericho will always be remembered as the man who defeated both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night to become the Undisputed WWF Champion.

That happened on Vengeance 2001, which was interestingly the last WWF pay-per-view to air on terrestrial TV in the United Kingdom.

The Rock was the World Champion heading into the pay-per-view, but Jericho was able to defeat him in a 20-minute match. He then went on to defeat The Texas Rattlesnake right after in a unification match for the WWF and World Championships.

Jericho officially became the Undisputed World Champion, something he has bragged about for much of his wrestling career since December 9, 2001.

Daniel Bryan is one of the most popular WWE Superstars, and he was looking to main event WrestleMania 30.

CM Punk quit WWE following the 2014 Royal Rumble, and since he wasn't around to face Triple H at WrestleMania 30, WWE had to come up with a plan for the former World Champion. It revolved around Daniel Bryan and his newfound popularity.

After Bryan was told he wasn't good enough to face The Game at the Show of Shows, he took over Monday Night Raw and refused to leave the ring until Triple H accepted the match against him.

It was then made clear that if Bryan was able to defeat Triple H, he would be placed in the main event match between Batista and Randy Orton, which would then become a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship.

Bryan didn't have it easy because he had to battle Triple H earlier that night. He was able to make Batista tap out, becoming World Heavyweight Champion.

Seth Rollins has been one of the company's top stars since Shield split in June 2014. His Money in the Bank cash-in the following year at WrestleMania 31 was the moment he became the biggest star in the company.

Rollins defended his World Championship for many months but was forced to relinquish the Championship due to a freak knee injury.

At Night of Champions 2015, Rollins was forced to wrestle twice because he held two championships. He was able to defeat John Cena with the help of John Stewart at SummerSlam 2015, which meant he was a dual Champion with the United States and World Championships.

Rollins defended the United States Championship unsuccessfully against John Cena before fighting Sting in the main event of the show, retaining the World title.

The current WWE Raw Women's Champion walked out of WrestleMania earlier this year as SmackDown and Raw Women's Champion. This meant she had to defend both titles at Money in the Bank.

Lynch fought Lacey Evans for the Raw women's championship and was able to defend her title successfully. Evans came back out, helping Charlotte become SmackDown women's champion.

Lynch has since been able to keep hold of the Raw Women's Championship over the past few months. She defends her championship once again at this year's Clash of Champions, in a match expected to be against Sasha Banks.
