Decades from now, whenever fans would talk about the most controversial figures in pro wrestling history, Randy Orton's name will surely come up. The Viper has been with WWE for almost two decades at this point, and is a sure-fire future Hall of Famer.

Randy Orton was a brash, obnoxious heel back when he was with Evolution, and the real-life persona of Orton wasn't much different. Orton has grown a great deal since then, but he is still the same guy who never cared what others thought of him, whenever he stated his opinion. It isn't a surprise that several WWE Superstars have had real-life heat with Randy Orton in the past. In this slideshow, we will take a look a five WWE Superstars who have had real-life heat with the WWE veteran.

#5 Roman Reigns

Back in 2013, The Shield was still a fairly new group. The Hounds of Justice came out victorious in their first WrestleMania outing against Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show. Months later, The Shield got into a backstage controversy following a match at a house show. Roman Reigns and Randy Orton were involved in a botched a spot in the match. It led to both men shouting at each other in a backstage area. The incident didn't sit well with the top brass and The Shield received backstage heat for the same.

A year later, following The Shield's split, Roman Reigns got into a singles feud with Randy Orton. The bouts these two men had at live events were deemed as failures. The Big Dog believed that Orton was "killing his push" with his “crowd killing style.” The two Superstars apparently talked about these issues backstage. At SummerSlam 2014, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton met in the ring, with Reigns picking up the win when all was said and done.

#4 Mr. Kennedy

Mr. Kennedy had a promising career ahead of him in WWE, back in the late 2000s. His WWE career was cut short following an in-ring incident with Randy Orton on WWE RAW in 2009. Soon after he was drafted to WWE RAW, Kennedy performed on the Red brand in a 10-Man Tag Team match. One of the spots in the match saw Kennedy hitting Randy Orton with a Back Suplex. As soon as Orton landed on the mat, he seemed to be writhing in pain and was visibly angry at Kennedy.

Mere four days after this match, Kennedy was let go by WWE, and this was it for him in terms of a WWE career. While speaking with WrestleZone, Kennedy talked about being surprised by Orton's reaction following the match.

His head was facing rampside rather than straight back opposite hard-cam, but his neck…and you can see on the video…his neck never even comes into contact with the mat, which makes me question why he then would go back and get his neck iced up. I mean it didn’t make any sense to me. Or his shoulders.

Recently, Kennedy spoke with Sportskeeda and opened up on his real-life heat with Randy Orton. The former WWE Superstar made it clear that he has buried the hatchet with Orton, and the two no longer have heat.

#3 Bubba Ray Dudley

Earlier this year, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley opened up on his real-life heat with WWE veteran Randy Orton. He stated that the two Superstars squashed their real-life feud when Bubba returned to WWE in 2015. Back when Randy Orton and Batista were a part of Evolution, they once had a match with The Dudley Boyz. Both Superstars suffered injuries during the match and Randy Orton was out of action with an ankle injury, for four months.

Bubba said that the two settled their differences when he came back to WWE in 2015.

The very first day we saw each other in 2015 when me and D-Von had returned to the WWE; we instantly shook hands, hugged, sat down and talked for five minutes and realised that we had both matured. We both admitted that we overreacted to the situation.

Bubba Ray Dudley also heaped praise on Orton for his RAW segment with WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix. Orton was involved in an angle with Edge at the time and the rivalry culminated in a Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36, which Edge won.

#2 Rochelle Loewen

Rochelle Loewen is a former model who had a very short stint with WWE, back in the mid-2000s. Her first appearance came in late 2003, in which she was seen escorting Val Venis and Lance Storm to the ring before their match. She was soon sent to WWE SmackDown where her first appearance saw her praising John Cena's new belt. For the entirety of her run in WWE, Rochelle had heat with Randy Orton.

According to Rochelle, Randy Orton was infuriated because she didn't know who he was at the time. When the two met, Orton wasn't thrilled when he realized that Rochelle didn't know him. He told her that he hates her, and left the spot in a hurry. Soon after, Rochelle found out that her belongings were destroyed by The Viper, with baby oil and lotion being smeared on all of her stuff. When Johnny Ace later asked her about her first day, she revealed what had been done to her belongings Ace went on to assume that Orton must have done it. Loewen had a bunch of other things to say about Randy Orton's behavior towards her in WWE, which you can read here.

#1 The Rock

Back in 2004, Mick Foley was feuding with Evolution on the road to WrestleMania 20. He brought in The Rock to even the odds and it led to a 3-on-2 Handicap match at The Show of Shows. This was an incredibly rare occasion where The Rock and Randy Orton exchanged blows in a match. In a few months, The Rock left WWE for good, to focus on his Hollywood career. The Rock came back in 2011 and had a program with The Miz and John Cena heading into WrestleMania 27.

Soon after, Randy Orton revealed that he had heat with The Great One before WrestleMania. It stemmed from an interview where Orton stated that he didn't believe when The Rock said that he won't leave WWE ever again. Orton further stated that The Rock had called WWE and complained that The Viper was burying him. Orton was then told by John Laurinaitis that Vince McMahon wasn't happy with Orton's comments. Last year, Randy Orton challenged The Rock to a match at WrestleMania, but the Brahma Bull jokingly shrugged it off.
