Money in the Bank weekend is set to be the most exciting one in a long time for WWE. Fans are set to return to arenas, starting with the go-home episode of SmackDown for the pay-per-view.

Sunday's event will be the first to feature a full capacity crowd in over 16 months, while the following night's episode of RAW will conclude this weekend's festivities. The company has reportedly planned some major surprises for Money in the Bank weekend, which could lead to some incredible pops from fans.

One of the most interesting aspects of WWE's return to touring will be the live crowd's reactions to certain superstars. Taking into account any possible returns, quite a few names may be subject to some explosive reactions.

Let's take a look at five WWE Superstars who might get the loudest responses over the next few days. It could be on SmackDown, Money in the Bank, or RAW, depending on who shows up and the circumstances surrounding it.

Who do you think will be the most popular WWE Superstar this weekend? Let us know in the comments below.

#5 John Cena may return on the SmackDown before WWE Money in the Bank

John Cena is rumored to be challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, meaning he might make an appearance this weekend.

While the 16-time world champion is likelier to return on next week's episode of SmackDown, it would be a pleasant surprise to see him back beforehand. Cena is a popular choice to open tonight's episode of SmackDown, should he be present at the Toyota Center. He can welcome the fans back with an impassioned promo, just in time for Money in the Bank.

His relationship with the WWE Universe has been mixed at times, but the Hollywood star would be showered with cheers if he were to surprise them. Very few superstars have the command of the crowd that Cena does.

If not on SmackDown, Money in the Bank also seems like a great place for John Cena to make his comeback. After Reigns defends his Universal Championship against Edge, the Cenation leader could show up to confront The Tribal Chief and lay down a challenge for The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Either scenario would lead to a contender for the best crowd reaction of the weekend.

#4 Edge will challenge for the Universal Championship at WWE Money in the Bank

While he isn't expected to win at Money in the Bank, Edge might be WWE's biggest babyface heading into the show. The legend received one hell of an ovation at WrestleMania 37, where he wrestled Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns in front of WWE fans.

As a result, the crowd love could dictate over to Money in the Bank, where Edge will face Reigns for the Universal Championship. The Rated-R Superstar is also in action tonight, teaming with Rey and Dominik Mysterio to take on the evil trifecta of Reigns and The Usos.

The fans will certainly make up for lost time with Edge, whose comeback run was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Spectators would go nuts if he wins the title at Money in the Bank, although that is not a likely prospect. Seth Rollins might begin a program with the WWE Hall of Famer following the match.

Nonetheless, Edge will be getting a hero's response from the WWE faithful in Texas. Tonight's SmackDown holds some significant value for the 11-time world champion, as Houston was the site of his epic return at Royal Rumble 2020.

#3 Goldberg could get a huge reaction if he returns on the RAW after WWE Money in the Bank

As per reports, Goldberg is set to return to WWE on the post-Money in the Bank episode of RAW. But how will fans respond to him? One certainty is that the WWE Hall of Famer will get a huge reaction, no matter what side of the boo/cheer meter it falls on.

The repetitive nature of his recent returns could lead to fans booing him, but they will likely give him a largely positive response. It is difficult not to chant "Goldberg" when his music plays in a packed arena. That is the one moment when nostalgia takes over the negative feelings of his win over The Fiend in Saudi Arabia.

Should this likely return happen, Goldberg could challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.

Lashley will take on Kofi Kingston at Money in the Bank, with a Goldberg-esque squash over The New Day member suddenly sounding like a real possibility.

In what might be the last big return of Money in the Bank weekend, Goldberg's impending appearance on RAW will definitely be one of the big talking points of the show.

Whether it is a good idea to put him in another world title match is a different story.

#2 Roman Reigns might be the most booed superstar at WWE Money in the Bank

As mentioned earlier, Money in the Bank will see Roman Reigns defend the Universal Championship against Edge. He is sure to get a negative crowd reaction at the event.

This would be music to The Tribal Chief's ears, who is familiar with the sound of fans booing. Only this time, it would be a good thing. Reigns has been excellent as the top villain in WWE, with his good work being recognized by the boos directed towards him at WrestleMania 37.

The Universal Champion might receive more heat during his singles match against the beloved Edge at Money in the Bank. And like the Rated-R Superstar, Roman Reigns might get his own loud reaction tonight during the six-man main event featuring the two of them, The Usos, and The Mysterios.

The Head of Table will be relishing the opportunity to bask in the hate every week, following close to a year of dominating SmackDown without any WWE fans in attendance.

And if his recent record is anything to go by, Reigns' Money in the Bank match with Edge could be a match of the year contender.

#1 Becky Lynch's return at WWE Money in the Bank (or the night after) will blow the roof off the place

Whether it's at Money in the Bank or the night after, Becky Lynch's WWE return is probably the most anticipated moment this weekend has to offer. She has not appeared on WWE television in over 14 months, announcing her pregnancy during the RAW after Money in the Bank last May.

Lynch gave birth to her daughter in December and has been training for a comeback, which is set to come to fruition over the weekend. She is in fantastic shape, as evidenced by this photo.

Lynch will likely get a monster pop upon her arrival, with the months-long absence boosting her star power. Becky Lynch will be attending Money in the Bank, but it is not known whether she will appear on camera at the event.

But if she doesn't return on Sunday, the Monday Night RAW crowd will have a potential Becky Lynch return to look forward to.

Expect her to show up and confront the winner of the RAW Women's Championship match between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair. Lynch could then embark on a path to regain the title she never lost, which may garner an even louder reaction.
