5 Ways to Book Dean Ambrose Following His Return

The Lunatic is back and RAW is about to change
The Lunatic is back and RAW is about to change

Seth Rollins did not show up on RAW until three whole hours were up. But he showed up just in the nick of time to sign his contract and make his match official. Rollins will have Ambrose in his corner at SummerSlam. But how does one book the Lunatic, going forward?

Sportskeeda is the one-stop destination for latest WWE rumors and wrestling news

I have 5 suggestions in mind, as of right now. I shall share all of them with you here. Please leave a comment and let me know which one of these you deem the most likely.

How would you like to see The Lunatic booked on RAW, folks? Do you think he would have been better off on SmackDown Live, considering just how booked RAW currently is?

It's time to settle the score, once and for all!

#5 Shield reunites to face Owens, Ziggler and McIntyre

Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns need to reunite once more
Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns need to reunite once more

The Shield had briefly reunited last year, but it was a rather ill-fated comeback story. Roman Reigns was diagnosed with an illness that stopped him from competing in the reunion match, where he had to be replaced by Kurt Angle. And shortly thereafter, Dean Ambrose suffered a legitimate injury that kept him out of action.

Let's assume that Kevin Owens cashes in the Money in the Bank contract and goes on to become the next Universal Champion at SummerSlam. I can totally imagine The Shield reuniting to take on the devious trio of McIntyre, Ziggler and Owens. This would give the WWE Universe something to root for, as The Hounds of Justice are sorely missed!

It would also keep fans invested at a time when Brock Lesnar's absence could possibly impair ratings significantly. The Shield is always a big money act, and I doubt fans will be opposed to this reunion.

#4 Bolstering the Tag Team Division

The B Team better look over their shoulders soon
The B Team better look over their shoulders soon

I love The B Team and their act, and how far they have come (after the Miz). But I'm sad to say that because the Tag Team Champions are a comedy unit, a lot of seriousness has been lost from the division, making it an absolute sideshow. The only way to elevate this division once again would be to bring back Rollins and Ambrose back into the mix.

Maybe serious acts such as Ziggler and McIntyre as well as The Authors of Pain could contribute in getting this division back on track. Maybe if Reigns were to become the Universal Champion and Rollins and Ambrose picked up the Tag Team Championships, The Shield could rule the roost on RAW once again. It would make the product infinitely more watchable.

Maybe this fairytale run could last as long as the crowd is hot for both of the performers. And then the unthinkable could happen...

#3 Turning heel

Could we see The Lunatic go after the IC title himself?
Could we see The Lunatic go after the IC title, down the line?

The predominant rumour doing the rounds is that Dean Ambrose will turn heel on Seth Rollins soon. This stems from the fact that unlike Rollins, he hasn't had a full-fledged heel run during the course of his career. The character of a lunatic could certainly translate well into heel territory. It would also be very interesting to see Ambrose in the role.

Could we see Ambrose turn on Rollins at SummerSlam, after he wins the Intercontinental Championship, and go after the Kingslayer and his prized possession?

#2 Shield vs. Undisputed ERA

Imagine just how explosive this contest could be?
Imagine just how explosive this contest could be?

NXT is absolutely brimming with talent currently. I have a feeling that The Undisputed ERA may be part of the post-SummerSlam call-ups. And when they are called up, they may go after the biggest dogs in the yard on RAW.

Imagine a full-fledged feud that pits The Undisputed ERA and The Shield. The Hounds of Justice have always suffered from a lack of quality opponents, during their previous runs. This could be just the feud that they need!

All 7 of the men are absolutely phenomenal workers. Their matches would be an absolute treat to see!

#1 Staying in the mid card

Sadly, this is the likeliest possibility
Sadly, this is the likeliest possibility

This is not where I want to see Ambrose, but where he is likely to be. I have a feeling that much like Bobby Roode and Elias, as the cheers begin to fade, so will his push. He will become an important part of RAW, but get lost in the mix once again. Maybe he will get a Championship opportunity or two, at certain points.

That said, this is not what I am hoping for. I really want Ambrose to remind us why he is such a crowd favourite. I want him to be part of the Universal Championship picture, going forward.

Do you think he will be booked strongly? Where do you think Ambrose's destiny lies?
