Five things you should expect from Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins' rivalry

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view is now over with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch winning their respective Royal Rumble matches.

Both superstars have also decided on whom they want to challenge at WrestleMania. Rollins will face 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship whereas 'The Man' Becky Lynch will face Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Lesnar destroyed Seth Rollins, in the last week's edition on Monday Night Raw, by striking him with multiple F5s. It was only a preview for us to anticipate what could transpire in the next few weeks. The names involved in this rivalry are huge and using those considerations we could say that this feud is going to be incredible.

The WWE Universe wants to see loads of things between these two superstars in the forthcoming months, and since the WWE is also embarking a significant change in their product, some tremendous things are likely to happen.

In this article, we will look at five things fans should expect to happen in this feud.

#5 A title change, finally

It is almost confirmed that Rollins will get his hands on the championship
It is almost confirmed that Rollins will get his hands on the championship

Lesnar kept the Universal Championship for over 500 days in his first reign. After that, he lost it to Roman Reigns who then held the belt for a few months before relinquishing it.

At the WWE Crown Jewel, Lesnar regained the Universal Title by defeating Braun Strowman, and since then, he has not lost it.

In the Royal Rumble, he retained his championship against Finn Balor, but this could change at the WrestleMania. Seth Rollins, reportedly, will win the title from Lesnar at this year’s Mania because this is how things are seemingly planned. If you remember, he has never pinned Lesnar in a match, and it will also change when Rollins wins the title.

#4 Lesnar will work on more dates

To make this rivalry more interesting, Lesnar has to work on more dates
To make this rivalry more interesting, Lesnar has to work on more dates

Fans always complain about Lesnar’s part-time schedule in the WWE, as we only see him once in a blue moon. Hence, superstars like Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, and many others had to do all the buildup work on their own.

But, Rollins vs Lesnar is a huge rivalry and this could cause the Universal Champion to work on more dates. In addition, both superstars are famed for their work, and if the company wants this rivalry to work, then they have to book Lesnar like a full-timer.

Last year, the company did not schedule Lesnar on more dates because they wanted fans to criticize him over his work and get them behind Reigns.

However, the case is different this year. Rollins is already over with the fans, and there is no chance that fans will cheer Lesnar over him. Therefore, we could see the latter working on more dates than the past few months as it is essential for this rivalry.

#3 Rollins headlines the WrestleMania

Roman's illness is like a blessing in disguise for Seth Rollins

Roman Reigns main evented four WrestleManias in a row and was likely to do so this year as well. Unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with Leukemia, and hence cannot headline WrestleMania, this year.

However, there is good news. There have been talks that Seth Rollins could headline this year’s Mania, as he is the Royal Rumble match winner. Some say the WWE has plans to end the show with Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch.

We do not know which one of these rumours is correct as the WWE will treat both matches as the main event calibres. If I have to pick one between these two, then I think Lesnar vs Rollins has a slightly better chance of getting the closing spot at Mania. Rollins is the most over face on Raw whereas Lesnar is WWE’s biggest draw, so it is obvious why I chose this match.

#2 Lesnar brings the UFC Heavyweight Championship to the WWE

UFC and WWE are two different companies that offer entirely different products. But, there is someone common between these two and that is Brock Lesnar (other fighters are exceptions).

Lesnar has worked for both, the WWE and the UFC. He has plans to fight against the current UFC Heavyweight Champion in the octagon but nothing has been fixed regarding their fight yet.

The current Universal Champion has been negotiating a deal with the UFC and there is a high chance that we will see his comeback soon. While there is no fixed date but the fight will happen soon according to various sources.

If Lesnar faces Cormier then he could whip him to become the new champion of the UFC. Now, considering that, he might even bring that title to the WWE, to gain a bit of an advantage over Rollins. This would also benefit the WWE as they will get a lot of attention from the UFC fans.

#1 Mr McMahon returns

Vince McMahon could play bad like always
Vince McMahon could play bad like always

From the past few weeks, Triple H has been showing trust in Seth Rollins. He is reportedly the man behind Rollins’ current push, and this is where Mr McMahon could enter.

Over the past few years, there have been many instances when tension has risen between McMahon and his son-in-law.

We could see this happening one more time in the WWE as it will generate more hype for this match. Triple H could support Rollins in his feud against Lesnar whereas his father-in-law could go against the audience and take the Universal Champion's side.

Even though we will not see a feud between Triple H and Vince, but at least it could benefit this match in creating hype if Lesnar does not work regularly.
