Vince McMahon was last seen on SmackDown when he crashed Triple H's 25th Anniversary and turned the lights out on both Shawn Michaels and The Game, leaving them in darkness to end the episode.

The Chairman of WWE has since been busy pushing the company forward and working hard to find a way to make sure that SummerSlam was outside of the Performance Center. This weekend, WWE will present the Biggest Party of The Summer from The Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The Amway Center will also serve as WWE's new home for the next few months.

WWE announced on Friday that Vince McMahon will be in attendance for tonight's episode of SmackDown. What could the boss have planned?

#5. Vince McMahon could be welcoming the WWE Universe to their new home

When WWE was first confined to the Performance Center because of the lockdown back in March, Triple H was on-hand to make the announcement regarding COVID-19 and why the company was being forced into taking drastic measures.

This time around, Vince McMahon appears to be the one who will welcome the WWE Universe to their new home and thank the members of their fanbase who have signed up to ThunderDome. Fans cannot be in attendance at the arena but they will be there in some capacity thanks to the virtual interaction aspect of the ThunderDome concept, which the company tested on Thursday.

The Chairman could be on SmackDown tonight to announce how the new system works and to push forward the fact that SummerSlam is on Sunday night. Even though fans can't be in attendance for The Biggest Party of the Summer, it will feel as though they are with their new virtual technology being featured in the ThunderDome.

#4. Vince McMahon could announce that NXT will be part of Payback?

Payback is a little over a week away and so far there is just one match which has been teased for the show. Sasha Banks and Bayley will be forced to defend the Women's Tag Team Championships against challengers who are yet to be named.

The Women's Tag Team Championships are defended on all three brands and at present, just one week away from the show, Shayna Baszler and Asuka are the only women who could be the challengers.

Baszler also has her own issues to settle with Nia Jax, which means that it could be an NXT talent that is given the chance to be part of the show. Payback was reportedly said to be seen as an experiment and instead of various SummerSlam rematches, WWE could fill the card with interesting matches from all three brands.

Vince McMahon could be there to make this huge announcement that will finally see the company's third brand included in a pay-per-view that isn't Survivor Series.

With Survivor Series just a few months away, this could be the beginning of the build up and Vince McMahon could be there to prepare the WWE Universe.

#3. Vince McMahon could address the current situation regarding RETRIBUTION

Over the past few weeks, WWE has been targeted by a group of wrestlers who have attacked the Performance Center on RAW and SmackDown, defaced property, and have been able to make it into the production trucks and cause issues for WWE's shows. When Nexus pulled the same stunt years ago, it was Vince McMahon who tried to bring an end to it by offering the members WWE contracts.

Could Vince McMahon be looking to offer the members of RETRIBUTION the same kind of deal? After all, this group has gone much further than Nexus and has cost the company a lot of money in repairs over the past few weeks.

It would be in Vince McMahon's best interest to find out what it is that the group wants and try to make some kind of deal — or at the very least reveal who the members are so that the WWE roster can deal with them in due course.

#2. Vince McMahon could announce a WWE Draft

There have been rumors that WWE is looking to present another WWE Draft in the coming months. However, there has been no news regarding this on WWE TV. Vince McMahon was on hand to announce The Wildcard Rule on RAW a few years ago. And now, he could return to SmackDown to announce the upcoming draft.

It would be interesting for Vince McMahon to make the announcement this time around as it's being rumored that this year's draft could include NXT for the first time. That means that Triple H will be looking to bulk up his own brand.

Could the fact that Payback is taking place just a week after SummerSlam be because WWE wants this year's Draft to take place there instead? Or could it just be that Vince McMahon wants to make the announcement himself and the draft will once again take place over two nights on RAW and SmackDown in the same format as previous versions?

#1. Vince McMahon could announce that WWE will make history at SummerSlam

There are rumors that there could be something big going down at SummerSlam since the company is finally allowed back into an arena. WWE can't sell tickets to the show but they can push the Network and look for new subscribers as part of one of their biggest events of the year.

Vince McMahon could show up at SmackDown to make an announcement affecting SummerSlam. Potentially that could include both World Championships or it could be that the company will be holding a Battle Royal as part of Sunday's event. It could even be the returns of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar as both men have been waiting in the wings for months.

Vince McMahon usually only returns to SmackDown or RAW when he has a huge announcement to make and he could be following this trend once again tonight.

If SummerSlam is being seen as a reset for the company after a few months of setbacks because of COVID-19 then what does this mean moving forward? And what will it mean for Payback and Clash of Champions in the coming weeks?
