Former members of The Shield Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns will collide at the upcoming Royal Rumble. The WWE Universe is already aware of their history.

There was a time when they stood shoulder-to-shoulder as brothers, but almost eight years after the trio went their separate ways, Rollins and Reigns are still two of WWE's biggest stars.

Rollins has seemingly overcome every obstacle in his path over the past decade whilst Reigns recently became the face of the company.

Despite this, there are a number of current and former WWE Superstars that Reigns and Rollins have never been able to defeat. Here are a few of them.

#6/5. Seth Rollins has never defeated WWE Hall of Famers D-Von and Bubba Ray Dudley

There has been a lot of talk about The Dudley Boyz in recent weeks ever since The Usos appeared to be sending messages to the WWE Hall of Famers.

The SmackDown Tag Team Champions won their last two matches against The New Day using the 3D, something that could have a storyline attached in the future. Whilst Retro RAW is coming up and The Royal Rumble could also be a fantastic place for The Dudleyz to return, it's worth noting that Seth Rollins could have unfinished business with them also.

The former world champion has never been able to defeat D-Von and Bubba Ray in tag team action, and has never faced the former Tag Team Champions in singles action.

The stars have crossed paths with Rollins on two occasions, the first in September 2015 when they faced off on SmackDown. The Dudley Boyz teamed up with Kane and defeated Seth Rollins and The New Day.

A few days later on RAW, The Dudley Boyz once again teamed up to defeat Kane and Seth Rollins, this time via disqualification.

The Dudley Boyz haven't wrestled in WWE for several years, but D-Von still works backstage as a producer in the company.

#4. Roman Reigns has never defeated WWE Superstar Shane McMahon one-on-one

Roman Reigns has brushed aside much of the WWE locker room over the past few months, but one man he has never pinned is Shane McMahon.

The two men have crossed paths numerous times throughout their careers with McMahon coming out on top more often than not.

The only time Reigns was able to win a match against Shane McMahon was when he teamed up with The Undertaker at Extreme Rules in 2019 to take on McMahon and Drew McIntyre, where The Undertaker pinned Shane.

When the two men met one-on-one at Super ShowDown in 2019, Shane McMahon who pinned The Tribal Chief.

There have since been a number of tag team and elimination matches where Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon have been on opposite teams, and McMahon has come out on top in all of them.

Shane McMahon could well be the only man in WWE who can stop The Bloodline at present.

#3. Seth Rollins has never defeated former WWE Superstar The Fiend

Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt have crossed paths many times throughout their WWE careers, with some of the best matches of the last decade taking place between The Shield and The Wyatt Family.

After Wyatt's makeover into The Fiend, his new character became an unstoppable force, someone that Seth Rollins was never able to defeat.

The two men collided for the first time inside Hell in a Cell in 2019 in one of the most controversial matches in WWE history. This was the match where the referee stepped in and it was officially recorded as a no-contest.

Just weeks later at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in 2019, The Fiend defeated Seth Rollins to win the Universal Championship, which he later took to SmackDown.

Rollins later underwent a character change and never had a rematch for the Championship he lost in The Middle East. Meanwhile, The Fiend only performed in a handful of matches after that encounter before he was released from the company in 2021.

#2. Roman Reigns has never defeated WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley

Much like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns has struggled when against WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley.

Unlike his former Shield teammate, Reigns faced Bubba Ray in one-on-one competition, but the encounter ended in defeat via disqualification.

After Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns teamed up to defeat The Dudley Boyz via DQ on RAW, the two men went one-on-one on SmackDown. Bubba Ray picked up the victory over Reigns in their only one-on-one match, and Reigns has been unable to exact any revenge since.

Bubba Ray and D-Von left WWE not long after the feud and haven't returned to the company since being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.

There is a chance the duo could be set to make their return in the coming months, which would be interesting since Bubba Ray holds quite the record over the two former Shield members.

#1. Seth Rollins has never defeated former WWE Champion CM Punk

Seth Rollins facing off against CM Punk was once considered to be a WWE dream match. But it's easy to forget that the two men have faced off several times in the past.

CM Punk was able to come out on top at TLC back in 2013 when he faced The Shield in a three-on-one handicap match, before later defeating The Shield several times with a number of different tag team partners.

Seth Rollins and CM Punk have only faced off once in a one-on-one match on an episode of RAW back in 2013. It was the final episode of Monday Night RAW of the year and Punk picked up the victory following a GTS.

The Self-Proclaimed Best In the World left WWE around four weeks later, meaning that Rollins never got a rematch.

Punk has since joined AEW, which means that there is still a chance of the two men facing off in the future, outside of WWE. Only time will tell.
