She said that when she went to a music show broadcast for Girls' Generation's 15th anniversary project, it was her first time visiting in a long time.

When she saw the idols rehearsing and doing their sound for the live performance, she was disappointed at the amount of effort they exerted while putting forth the performances. She also explained that during her time, K-pop idols would dance to their maximum level to stand out, regardless of whether they stood in the very front or at the far back.

"So when I saw it, I thought, 'These kids are rehearsing so lazily' and 'Why are they doing it so half-heartedly?'" Tiffany said.

Girls' Generation Tiffany talks about the lazy performances of the current generation of K-pop idols

However, the members haven't been very active in recent days other than their most recent project for their 15th anniversary, the Forever 1 studio album released in 2022.

In the preview, the idol was seen talking about her recent experience of visiting a music show broadcast. Tiffany expressed that the situation and K-pop idols' approaches to performances are very different from her times.

"We would dance diligently and work hard even though the camera was far away because we wanted to stand out even if we were dancing in the back of the stage. But these days, there's something called individual fancam recording, so maybe that's why idols are so lazy," she said.
"So I thought they were just doing sound check but then when you do sound checks, you need to make sure the breathing and positions are all correct. There were a lot of new things I experienced and thought (idols) were more lazy. But you know? There's a saying 'First time, last time, every time,'" she continued.

Therefore, she meant to express that due to the newly introduced FAN-CAM culture, which places individual focus on all the members of a group while performing, the idols are less motivated to give their best to stand out.

Additionally, Tiffany also expressed that every performance, including sound checks, should be showcased with full effort. However, she didn't see the same in the current generation of K-pop idols. Regardless, her description of lazy wasn't necessarily intended to refer to the whole set of K-pop idols or any artist in particular.
