"Immediate emergency measures were taken" — YG Entertainment releases statement following TREASURE Haruto's fall at a recent concert

On Friday, May 18, TREASURE's Haruto faced an accident during the group's concert held in Hong Kong as part of their 2024 Reboot Asia Tour. Soon after, the group's agency, YG Entertainment, released a statement addressing the issue.

The statement read in part:

"During TREASURE’s performance in Hong Kong on the 18th, there was an incident where member Haruto fell because of a timing error with the lift. Immediate emergency measures were taken through the medical team stationed at the scene." (as translated by Koreaboo)

For the unversed, K-pop idol Haruto was running across the stage at the concert. He tripped and fell due to the unexpected opening of the stage lift. As he continued to perform, he was seen with bruises on his hand and arm.

According to YG Entertainment's statement, the idol was soon taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. In addition, the agency also ensured that it would continue to ensure the "safety" of their artists.

The ten-piece K-pop boy group, TREASURE, recently kickstarted their 2024 Reboot Asia Tour, making several stops across the continent. Their most recent halt was in Hong Kong.

During one of the concerts, the stage lift started to come up at an unexpected time. Since the group member, Haruto, was not aware of it, he fell to the other side of the lift. However, the idol soon recovered himself from the fall and continued performing.

This incident naturally left K-pop fans and netizens concerned over the idol's health status. They claimed that the unexpected opening of the lift was the staff members' fault.

To update fans on the idol's health and the incident, YG Entertainment, released a statement which read:

"Based on the artists’ opinions, the performance on that day proceeded smoothly within reasonable limits. Currently, Haruto is receiving treatment for shoulder bruising and resting. Tomorrow after returning home, he will undergo further medical examination at the hospital. YG Entertainment will continue to strive for the safety of our artists." (as translated by Koreaboo)

TREASURE is a K-pop boy group that debuted under YG Entertainment in 2019, through the reality survival show titled, YG Treasure Box. While it was initially a thirteen-member boy group, the departure of three members reduced it to ten members.

The current lineup of members includes Choi Hyun-suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae-hyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong-woo, and So Jung-hwan. Following their debut, the group has been quite the talk of the town, and their songs titled JIKJIN, DARARI, Hello, and more, have gone viral on the internet.

Moreover, TREASURE's next stop for their Asia tour is Thailand. The group will be rolling out a three-day concert in Bangkok on May 24, 25, and 26 at the Impact Arena. The group is also preparing to release a new track, King Kong, on May 28 at 6 PM KST.
