Tension has been building in Salem city of Days of Our Lives, as the equation between the residents has changed in the last few episodes. While the mother-daughter bond between Nicole and Holly seems to be breaking down, the former finds a supportive shoulder in Eric. Moreover, it is a bad time for EJ since instead of getting the permanent post he vied for, he gets fired by Paulina.

Days of Our Lives is the long-running soap opera that aired on NBC earlier but moved to Peacock in 2022. The story follows the families of the Hortons, the Bradys, the Kiriakis, the DiMeras, and others who interact within society in the fictional city of Salem.

For viewers who have missed the drama recently, Days of Our Lives presents the Li Shin murder mystery, which comes out with new evidence while young Tate and Holly continue to go against their parents.

The week of Days of Our Lives started with EJ learning about the parentage of Jude. While he contemplated whether he and Nicole could raise the child as theirs, Sloan pleaded with him to let the child be with her. She also pointed out that EJ would not like to raise Eric's son.

EJ then visited Leo and showed him a video on his phone that devastated Leo. EJ told Leo he would make him rich if he kept his mouth shut about Jude's parentage. Despite having guilt pangs, Leo chose money over integrity.

On the other side, Rafe and Jada had evidence that connected Gil to Li Shin's murder. They needed to clear Gabi out of the case. Ava also received the same news on the phone while she was with Kristen and let her know that Gabi was not Li's killer.

Alex had been spending all his inherited money on himself, buying luxury items. He planned to move into the Kiriakis mansion as soon as the Hortons left. This news disturbed Theresa, and she confessed to never wanting to stay away from Alex. Her revelation confused Alex, who was busy enjoying life with both money and time with Theresa.

Brady came back from his trip with Rachel and lamented not getting enough opportunity to spend time with her. He was upset that Alex and Kirsten were getting the chance he deserved. He told Marlena about the misunderstanding between Holly and Nicole.

At school, Holly and Tate discussed the upcoming prom. Holly was sad that her mother refused to allow her to attend prom. Tate wanted Holly to discuss it with Aaron. On the other hand, Tate was slated to attend prom night with Sophia, which he didn't want to. Tate wanted to work out a plan for future episodes of Days of Our Lives.

In light of the fresh evidence presented in Days of Our Lives, Rafe visited EJ and presented his case in front of Stefan and Kristen. EJ dismissed the evidence, saying he would not reopen the case as the district attorney as the fingerprints could be years old and Gabi's husband had discovered the evidence. As such, he would not reopen the case as the district attorney.

Rafe had previously paid a visit to Ava in the hopes of getting more information on the case, considering she had had connections with drug rings in the past. While Ava insisted she didn't know anything more, Rafe hinted that Ava played a small role in Li's death. He suspected Gil had come to the apartment to kill Ava, but he killed Li instead.

Chad found Abigail's handwritten notes on drugs and violent crimes in a notebook that Nicole got from Chad's room in the mansion. Chad talked to Jack the former editor-in-chief, hoping to learn more about it. While Jack didn't know the details of it, Chad wondered whether Abigail was on to the drug ring connected to Holly's coma and if Clyde was involved.

Stefan's repeated persuasion did not convince EJ, who was looking to become the permanent CEO of the company while being the DA. When Stefan complained to Paulina and showed all the available evidence, Paulina called EJ into her room and fired him right away, in the week's last episode of Days of Our Lives.

Holly was nasty with Nicole as all her frustration over being controlled by her mother came out. After being sent out in tears by her daughter, Nicole ended up in a bar, getting drunk. Eric called on her, picked her up from the bar, and dropped her home. In gratitude, a drunk Nicole kissed Eric while EJ watched from the doorway.

On the other side, Steve first had a talk with Ava about Clyde and then met John about the same matter. John agreed that he and Steve would be in trouble if Clyde was arrested, and he ratted out on them. He advised that they prepare themselves for this event in the future in Days of Our Lives.
