The Kansas City Chief's Harrison Butker sparked controversy due to his recent speech in Atchison. Moreover, women's tennis legend Martina Navratilova lashed out over the remarks of the 28-year-old.

Butker recently received an opportunity to deliver the 2024 commencement address at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, but little did he know that his remarks would be hounded further by controversy.

In his speech, Butker referred to women as those who have been deceived by "diabolical lies". He was quoted as saying:

"I think it is you the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. How many of you are sitting here now about to cross the stage and thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world."

Martina Navratilova, 67, took to social media to express her discontent with Butker's remarks, pointing out the educational achievements of his mother and emphasizing the irony in his statement.

"Just another entitled male who had everything available to him to now say this crap…" wrote Navratilova.

Navratilova also shared a post of renowned activist Shannon Watts and slammed Butker, writing:

"What a w…er"

Harrison Butker is an American football kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He is also a three-time Super Bowl champion.

Harrison Butker's comments were not just limited to the working women but he also flared revolt due to his controversial remarks on the 'Pride' month. Moreover, the 28-year-old considered the month as a "deadly sin sort of Pride".

“The reporters at the AP could not have imagined that their attempt to rebuke and embarrass places and people like those here at Benedictine wouldn’t be met with anger but instead met with excitement and pride not the deadly sin sort of Pride that has an entire month dedicated to it.”

Butker also received backlash from Taylor Swift's fans as he referred to the pop star as Travis Kelce's girlfriend. He also included the lyrics from her song "Bejeweled" in his speech.
