Hong Kong Junior Open (8-12 August’12)

Yash Fadte from Goa wins the Hong Kong Junior Open squash championship held in Hong Kong from 8-12 Aug 2012.

The 2012, Hong Kong Junior Open an Asian Platinum Event had 550 players from all over the world with 16 Indians participating in the event. Yash’s achievements is commendable having defeated the top seed Shanmugam Kiven from Malaysia in the semi finals and defeating 3/4 seeded Tang Ethan Pul Lok from Hong Kong in the finals 11-8, 11-9, 11-1.

The other notable achievements are Dev Vazirani (BU13) – 3^rd position, Harshit Kaur Jawanda (GU17) – 5^th position and Shamika Reddy (GU15) – 8^th position.
