RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 aired a brand new episode on Friday, January 12, 2024. Since the new season followed a split premiere format, the remaining queens entered the Werkroom for the first time in the latest episode.
The queens that appeared in the episode included Plasma, Nymphia, Megami, Plane Jane, Geneva, Hershii, Mhi-ya, and Megami. They entered the werkroom in typical Drag Race fashion with their first looks and a quote. This was followed by a mini challenge and a maxi challenge.
The show quickly started trending on X as fans live-tweeted as the segment aired, and chimed in on what they thought of the queens. While they were fairly impressed with most of the cast, one cast member didn't hit the mark. Fans believed that Plane Jane was "trying too hard" to be like All-Stars 8 winner Jimbo and slammed her for it.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 aired a brand new episode this week on Friday, January 12, 2024. During the segment, fans saw the remaining cast members make an appearance, since only seven cast members were featured in the previous episode.
As part of the first act, the remaining queens entered the werk room with their "first lewks." The first queen to enter was Hershii LiqCour-Jeté, who was unaware of the format that the show followed and believed that she was the first queen of the season. Plasma was next, followed by Geneva Karr. Plane Jane from Boston was the fourth queen to be featured in RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 episode 2. Her quote was "fasten your seatbelts, cuz this plane always goes down."
The Boston queen told the cameras that she was the "authentically Russian, clown hooker." She added that she was known for "big b*obs, big hips, small waist, pretty face."
Although the other queens followed, Plane Jane was one of the contestants who stood out the most, and not in the best way. However, they weren't the only ones who thought so - Plasma jokingly called her a "villain," while Geneva noted that she was "catty":
"My first impression of Plane Jane, she seems catty. Not because she's wearing a cheetah outfit."
She told the queens that she speaks Russian and they asked her for a "sample." The RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 star then described the girls in Russian, which they seemingly didn't understand. She called Geneva a "piglet" and noted that Plasma was "hideous." However, she praised Hershii and called her beautiful.
Fans took to social media to slam the season 16 cast member and noted that she reminded them a little bit too much of a former cast member, Jimbo.
RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 will return next week on MTV on Friday at 8 pm ET with a brand new episode.
