Why did John and Marilyn break up?

John and Marilyn's love story in Home and Away got complicated when things took a crazy turn, and they ended up breaking up. Apparently, according to Wikipedia, they had a big fight because John, played by Shane Withington, didn't see things the same way as Marilyn and decided to stay in the Bay.

Their relationship hit a rough patch, and, eventually, they broke up. In the 1990s, things got really interesting when Marilyn, who was working as a housekeeper, started hooking up with her boss.

It had a big impact on her life because she ended up getting pregnant and had a daughter named Heather in 1995. But, because of her lover and his spouse, Marilyn felt forced to give up her baby girl.

It added another sad aspect to the already complicated situation that eventually ended her relationship with John.
