Conor McGregor is set to make his highly-anticipated return to the octagon in about a month and a half when he faces Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303, ending a three-year hiatus. The former double champ was recently on hand at Black Forge Inn, a pub that he owns in Ireland, where he helped a patron's baby stop crying.

'The Notorious' shared the footage to his Instagram story, captioning it:

"This baby was crying prior to this so I was showing my patrons of @theblackforgeinn that if you hold a baby like this and a gentle rock back and forth the baby will stop crying. You are welcome. They tried to say things about [how] I hold my children throughout the years but I always said "Daddy knows" ❤️🙏"

McGregor has often faced criticism for his unique methods of holding his children. The biggest star in mixed martial arts seemingly used the footage to shut down his detractors. The former double champ welcomed his fourth child with long-time fiancee Dee Devlin in November 2023.

Islam Makhachev willing to make a quick turnaround to face Conor McGregor

Islam Makhachev will make his return to the octagon in just over two weeks against Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 302. The lightweight champion recently revealed that he is open to a quick turnaround if Conor McGregor is his next opponent - provided that 'The Notorious' gets past Michael Chandler at UFC 303.

Speaking to Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo of the Pound 4 Pound podcast, Makhachev stated:

"Why you say he finish Conor twice? Brother, everybody can finish Conor ten times. Right now, why not?... I don't think he wants to cut weight... Brother, why not [face McGregor]? People have to be stupid to say no. Of course, I will fight with him... Brother, when I will fight next? October or November? I can fight August or September with McGregor."

Makhachev claimed that McGregor is not the same fighter anymore, adding:

"Brother, easy. This guy [is] not same. I don't want to make him feel or look bad, but everybody knows this guy [is] not same. Before, yeah, for sure. When he was fighting with Khabib [Nurmagomedov], he [was] in the good shape. He [was] a high-level fighter, but right now, too much alcohol, too much whiskey and it's not same."

McGregor has remained inactive for nearly three years after breaking his leg when he faced Poirier at UFC 264. He has not beaten a ranked opponent since becoming double champion at UFC 205 in November 2016. He is just 1-3 in the octagon over the past seven and a half years.
