FULL TIME! Haryana Steelers 36 - 51 Puneri Paltan

Puneri Paltan have sealed another convincing win but it hasn't come too easy, at least initially. They were caught in a spot of bother before a Super Sub in the form of Mohit Goyat changed the course of the match. After having taken a lead, it was pretty much all Puneri Paltan right through the second half. Haryana were caught completely clueless on this occasion. Some good super tackles from them towards the end but they will go in vain as Pune seal a convincing win and exact revenge for their loss in the reverse-fixture. 

40' Do-or-die raid for the Puneri Paltan and it is a SUPER TACKLE by the Steelers! Aditya Shinde comes in for it and Jaideep puts in a double ankle hold immediately! Rahul Sethpal and Mohit Nandal come around for assistance and Aditya is tackled! 

Do-or-die raid for the Steelers and Ghanshyam Magar is tackled! A diving ankle hold from the left corner Badal Singh and the raider is tackled without much ado. 

Haryana Steelers 36 - 51 Puneri Paltan

38' Do-or-die raid for the Puneri Paltan and it is a SUPER TACKLE for the Steelers! Akash Shinde is tackled courtesy of a terrific ankle hold of Rahul Sethpal. On the other side, Pune return the favour as Badal Singh brings down Shivam Patare with a terrific thigh hold. 

Haryana Steelers 34 - 50 Puneri Paltan

36' Pankaj Mohite ends up stepping out of bounds, leaving three defenders on the mat. A diving double thigh hold from Vahid Reza and Vinay cannot make his way back to the mid-line.

Ashish is tackled now! Goes deep for a touch while Tushar from the covers runs around and sends Ashish packing! That was a 50/50 call but it goes in favour of the Paltan!

34' Shivam Patare escapes from Dadaso Pujari's ankle hold but Vahid Reza from the covers runs around and dashes him out. Pankaj Mohite goes deep and gets a touch on Naveen Kundu in the left corner. 

SUPER RAID! Mohit Nandal does it! Picks up a bonus point, pushes aside the incoming cover defender and goes past the other to cross the mid-line using the lobby. 

SUPER TACKLE! A diving double ankle hold from Jaideep in the left corner and Rahul Sethpal runs around around to stop Aditya Shinde from going back to the mid-line.

32' An ankle hold from Shadloui and Tushar from the right cover is around in a flash for assistance! Ashish is tackled!

30' A solid thigh hold from Vahid Reza and it is Shivam Patare who fails to escape from it. 

Akash Shinde entices Jaideep into going for the block while Rahul puts in a touch on his ankles as well. 

A terrific advance thigh hold from Shadloui and the Steelers' raider is absolutely immobilised! He just walked ahead and got the grip!

28' Do-or-die raid for the Puneri Paltan and Pankaj Mohite strikes! Goes deep and gets a touch on Mohit in the left corner. On the other side, a terrific ankle hold from Shadloui brings down Ashish. 

ALL OUT! Mohit Goyat cleans house! Jaideep dives from the left corner while Mohit Nandal from the right corner comes around for assistance. However, Mohit uses the lobby and escapes! 

Shadloui puts in a pursuit but is off balance! Jaideep is ready for it and he runs around and brings him down with a powerful block! 

Haryana Steelers 23 - 39 Puneri Paltan

26' Do-or-die raid for the Steelers and Ashish strikes! Tushar runs around for a dash but an airborne Ashish crosses the mid-line before landing outside bounds. Well, he's picked up a bonus as well! 

Dadaso Pujari runs around with a chain from the right corner and it is Vinay who is pinned down just inches inside from the mid-line. 

Haryana Steelers 22 - 33 Puneri Paltan

24' The Puneri Paltan covers combine and run around with a dash and Shivam Patare is tackled. Tushar with the tackle there! 

Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Pankaj Mohite strikes! He drags himself back to the mid-line after tumbling as Rahul Sethpal put in a dive. No support from the other defenders.

22' Vinay runs around and gets a hand touch on Dadaso Pujari in the right corner. Mohit from the covers puts in a diving double thigh hold and brings him down. 

A surprise double ankle hold from the right-in Vahid Reza and it is Vinay who is tackled!

HALF TIME! Puneri Paltan 29 - 18 Haryana Steelers

A match that has been a seesaw contest, with both teams having their fair share of moments which they capitalised on. Puneri Paltan started well but Ashish prevented two all outs for the Steelers and got them back into the contest. The all out was eventually inflicted but a late charge from the Steelers saw them make a terrific comeback into the contest. A super raid from Vinay got them in the lead and saw the Paltan be in a spot of bother. But that's when Mohit Goyat was substituted in and he changed the complexion of the game. He not only prevented the all out on a couple of occasions but also chipped in with the defense to turn the tide completely. His terrific all-round skills helped the Paltan inflict the all out on the Steelers once again and take a humongous lead! A massive lead for the Paltan and they seem to be running away with this game. Can the Steelers make a comeback? Stick around to find out!

20' As soon as Shivam Patare tries a toe-touch on Mohit Goyat, he puts in an ankle hold from the right-in position. Pankaj Mohite flies through the air and gets a hand touch on Mohit Narwal in the covers. On the other side, Vinay runs around and gets a running hand touch on Akash Shinde in the right-in position. 

Puneri Paltan 29 - 18 Haryana Steelers

18' SUPER TACKLE! Back-to-back super tackles for Puneri Paltan! Shadloui with a solid block once again while Mohit Goyat pounces at his feet. Siddharth Desai is tackled! 

Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Mohit Goyat shoulders responsibility and strikes! Mohit has tagged Mohit and Mohit! Gets a touch on the left corner Mohit Kaler and gets a touch on Mohit Narwal too on the way back. Turns out Ashish has gone out of bounds too. It's given as a Super Raid but Haryana Steelers review! Ashish has definitely stepped out of bounds. There is a touch on both Mohits too! Review unsuccessful! SUPER RAID! 

ALL OUT! Shivam Patare is tackled! He is allowed the bonus point following which he goes too deep in the left corner for a touch. As soon as he does that, Abinesh Nadarajan comes around and dashes him out! 

Puneri Paltan 27 - 17 Haryana Steelers

16' SUPER RAID! That's a massive raid! Vinay with a super raid! Goes deep and gets a touch on Abinesh nadarajan in the left corner. The right corner chain runs around with a dash but Vinay has his foot in the lobby when he crosses the lobby! 

Mohit Goyat is substituted in for the raid. He picks up a bonus following which, he escapes from an ankle hold and returns in a flash! 

Vinay goes deep, corners both defenders and gets a touch on Akash Shinde in the right corner before returning. Pune down to one man! 

Mohit Goyat saves the day again! Picks up a bonus point following which he uses the lobby to escape from Jaideep's dash and returns! 

SUPER TACKLE! Shadloui with a solid block while Mohit Goyat comes for assistance as well! Oh what a comeback this is! 

Puneri Paltan 19 - 16 Haryana Steelers 

12' Shadloui, that's audacious! As soon as Siddharth Desai tries a touch on the left-in position, Shadloui runs around and puts in a solid back hold which immobilises him!

Akash Shinde goes down as a terrific ankle hold from Rahul Sethpal brings him down. On the other side, Vinay escapes from Shadloui's advance attempted ankle hold and escapes.

Jaideep and Mohit come around from the covers and it is Aditya Shinde who is sent packing with a dash! 

Puneri Paltan 13 - 12 Haryana Steelers

10' Akash Shinde goes deep once again and entices the left corner to stand ahead. That allows him to get a touch and return.

ALL OUT! Ashish finally perishes! He is allowed the bonus and as soon as he tries a toe-touch on Shadloui, Abinesh Nadarajan takes matters into his own hands as he runs around with a dash and sends him packing!

Jaideep and Mohit combine to tackle Akash Shinde as the raider is pulled back just inches inside of the mid-line! 

Puneri Paltan 12 - 9 Haryana Steelers

8' An advance double this hold attempted by Jaideep but Aditya Shinde escapes and returns. Akash Shinde, on the other side, goes deep and gets a touch on Mohit Nandal after cornering both defenders. 

A do-or-die raid for the Steelers and Ashish comes in for it. He is allowed the bonus point following which, he once again escapes from Shadloui's ankle hold and returns. 

Puneri Paltan 8 - 7 Haryana Steelers

6' Vinay is tackled now! As soon as he goes deep, Abinesh Nadarajan runs around and sends him packing with a mighty dash! 

A kick from Akash Shinde and Rahul Sethpal has to return to the bench. Steelers are down to one man! 

Ashish is allowed the bonus point following which he escapes from a jumpy Shadloui's attempted ankle hold and returns to save the all out.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2023. The 128th match of the tournament will witness the Haryana Steelers lock horns with the Puneri Paltan at the Tau Devilal Indoor Stadium, Panchkula. 

Haryana Steelers have been one of the surprise packages of the tournament. They filled their ranks with decent raiders and did not splurge on a particular player. They have used their raiders well in rotation, with someone or the other putting their hand up and delivering for the team. However, what stands out is their defense. Jaideep and Mohit are the best cover defenders this season while Rahul Sethpal has come of age this year. Mohit Kaler in the left corner has been decent as well, making their defense a formidable unit. It will be an interesting battle to watch today between the Steelers' defenders and the Paltan's raiders. 

The Puneri Paltan are comfortably placed second and have sealed a spot in the semi-finals already. They have been simply sensational throughout the tournament and have been one of the most aggressive teams in this edition. The Paltan have started playing their second-string raiders, giving a much-needed break to the Aslam Inamdar-Mohit Goyat duo. Despite that, their raiding department is delivering the goods for the team. If Jaipur loses their game today and Pune wins, they will seal the top position for themselves.
