Vrajesh Hirjee and Mantra to continue as hosts for Star Sports Pro Kabaddi season 2

Actor Vrajesh Hirjee and radio jockey Mantra are going to host the season 2 of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi. The same pair hosted the inaugural season of the innovative kabaddi tournament last year.

Vrajesh Hirjee is a well-known comedian in Bollywood as well as the TV industry. His memorable appearances include his roles in the super hit trilogy ‘Golmaal’ and as one of the villain’s henchmen in ‘One Two Three’.

Mantra is a radio jockey by profession, but he is trying his luck in movies too with his movie – ‘Dil Patang’ scheduled to be released very soon. In Dil Patang, Mantra would be playing the lead role.

He feels that last season of the league was more of an attempt to get to know people's perceptions and he assured that this year, the reception would be better than the 1^st season which was held around the same time last year.

He said, “Last year it was more of like an exam and this year it is a successful proven format. Therefore, there is more hope of making it bigger than the last season.

“This time the fun would be double than before. Last year’s success will also add to the excitement.”

With his wit and humour, he made a lot of friends during his association with the Star Sports initiative and is eagerly looking forward to meeting his colleagues this season.also keen to meet all his friends and colleagues from the 1st season. He added, “I am very excited to meet my old friends such as Wazir Singh, Vrajesh Hirjee, Anup Kumar and Manjeet Chillar.”

The opening match of the second season will be played between the finalists of the first season – U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers – on 18^th July at 8:00 pm IST. During the 36-day tournament, there will be a total of 60 matches played with the final scheduled for 23^rd August.

The tournament will be telecast LIVE on Star Sports.
