After Bengaluru Bull's surprise win over Puneri Paltan, it was Telugu Titan's turn to turn heads. The southern outfit registered a comfortable 37-19 win over home side, Haryana Steelers in Sunday's Pro Kabaddi League match up.

The usual suspect, Rahul Chaudhari was the star for Titans, scoring 10 raid points, thereby adding to his every increasing tally of super 10's. However, Rahul's main rival on the mat, Pardeep Narwal has been in ominous form as well.

Patna's star raider has set new benchmarks this season and the chasing pack are finding it difficult to keep up with him. Chaudhari though is annoyed with people's perception of him as a player. Post the win over Haryana, he made his views extremely clear.

"Look, I don't care about points. People keep saying I am a selfish player, this is absolutely not the case."

"I play for the team and do not look at my score. You would have seen, I got tackled a lot when I was on 499 points. It's not as if I can't score just one more point," he stated.

Since season 3, fans and pundits have constantly compared Pardeep and Rahul and understandably so.

The two of them have been at the top of the raiding charts for quite a while and neither of them has shown signs of slowing down. Rahul though is fed up of the comparisons and set the record straight.

"I have no competition with anyone. I don't care if Pardeep Narwal scores 150 points in a match or 20 points. I am a team player and I only score for the team."

"Every time I am at the receiving end of a super tackle, I do it only for the team and try to get as many points as possible in less time. That is when I get tackled," he explained.

Focusing on their much-needed win, Rahul was extremely pleased with his team's performance. He believes every single player executed their respective plans to perfection. The captain specifically heaped praise on his defenders who successfully kept Haryana's raiders in check.

"Look today Telugu Titans played as a team and we showed it. We had decided that I would try and spend as much time as possible on the mat. It doesn't matter if I go for a raid and get points or not. Our defenders played extremely well and according to plan," he signed off.
