For a man who hardly speaks, Pardeep Narwal does not use actions to back up his words because in matters relating to him, words do not come into the picture, at all. Consider yourself extremely lucky if you hear more than five words come out of his mouth the post-match press conferences.

Off the pitch, Narwal may come across as an introvert. The moment he steps onto the mat, though, all inhibitions vanish in an instant. It's like we see a different human being all together.

Let's take a look at five incredible records set by this stellar kabaddi player.

#1 Most points in a losing cause

In season 3 of the Pro Kabaddi League, teams were unable to attack despite the presence of stellar raiders on every single team. On an average, only 33 points were scored per match. But one fine day, Pardeep Narwal decided that it was up to him to raise the standards.

Playing against an under-performing Dabang Delhi outfit, Patna's star man scored a mind-boggling 24 raid points in one match alone, thus equaling Kashiling Adake's record. Unlike Kashiling, Narwal surprisingly ended up on the losing side as Patna's defenders crumbled under pressure.

#2 Youngest captain in the league

At times it can be very easy to forget that Pardeep Narwal is still only 20 years old. Having made his Pro Kabaddi League debut at the age of 18, we often take his skills for granted. He's now at such a high level that if he does not score a super 10, his coach considers it a bad game.

The Pirates management surprisingly decided to hand the captain's armband to Narwal in season 5. On paper, it seems like an odd choice given his lack of communication skills but the fact is that he doesn't need to speak much. The youngster leads by example almost every single time thus forcing his teammates to up their own standards.

#3 Fastest ever to 50 points in a season

When Pardeep scored a massive 131 raid points in 16 games last season, most of us believed he had reached his peak. Well, he just proved us wrong. Carrying his splendid form into season 5, Pardeep has tormented every single team in the league. He's in the mood to dominate and the numbers don't lie. It took him just four games to reach 50 points this season. No other raider in the league reached this landmark in so few games. Narwal averaged a whopping 12.5 raid points in his first four matches.

#4 Fastest to reach 5 super 10s

It's scary to think of the heights that Pardeep Narwal can possibly reach in 2017. To put things into perspective, Patna's star man scored five super 10s in total in season four. He was just two behind Rahul Chaudhari. Both took 16 games each to reach their respective tallies which seemed impressive back then.

In season five, Narwal has already scored five super 10s and he's done it in just eight games. He's in unforgiving form and has remained free of injuries and for that, the Patna Pirates should consider themselves extremely lucky.

#5 Highest average recorded so far

It's still early days in the league. But the fact is no team has played fewer than seven games and hence it's the right time to pass early judgment. Among the plethora of numbers doing the rounds, the one that stands out is Pardeep's average this season. In season 4, he averaged eight points per match in the 16 matches that he took part in.

He's already played half that amount in season 5 and guess what? His average stands at an unbelievable 12 raid points per game. No other raider has managed to hit double digits so far.
