Securing Crowned Victory Royales has become something of a hype in Fortnite Chapter 3. Although they don't do much apart from providing a little bonus XP, the community at large tries to earn as much as possible.

Currently, dozens of players have managed to secure double and triple digits Crowned Victory Royales. A few Loopers, however, have been able to earn over 1000 each. They are:

  • Rising Miles - 1,200
  • Ship - 2,000
  • Dakexy - 2,022
  • Panap - 2,222

Throughout the season, these Loopers have been grinding matches to win Crowned Victory Royales. With only eight days to go until the new season, there's still time to score a few more wins before the reset occurs.

However, a lot of community members are asking if there's truly any point in earning so many crowns. Given that the hard work does not pay off in the game, and most Crowned Victory Royales are farmed in bot lobbies - what's the point in even having them?

What's the point of winning Crowned Victory Royales in Fortnite Chapter 3?

At the start of Chapter 3 Season 1, Victory Crowns were a huge deal. Players tried their level best to find one during a match and earn a Crowned Victory Royale. However, as the season progressed, players found ways to farm them - mainly via bot lobbies.

As mentioned by Rising Miles, a player can potentially farm bot lobbies dozens of times a day and win. While this is not a bad thing, there's no way to segregate players who earn them in actual matches versus those 'farmed' in AI lobbies.

This is also evident when checking the player's stats versus the number of Crowned Victory Royales. For instance, a player known as JTerraTV, who secured 17,811 wins in the current season, has only 1,200+ Crowned Victory Royales.

Compared to Panap, who currently has over 2,222, the difference is huge. The only player to have crossed 2,000 Crowned Victory Royales in actual lobbies is ShipStreaming.

Given this disparity in stats and number of wins, for all intents and purposes, Crowned Victory Royales are more for personal achievements than anything else.

With no way to segregate wins in Fortnite bot lobbies from ranked ones, the system is flawed. Hopefully, Epic Games improves upon this mechanic next season.

Note: The data has been sourced from unofficial sources as there is no definite way to track Victory Crown points.
