Fortnite is giving players 500 free V-Bucks for free, check your eligibility

Fortnite has just announced that certain players will be receiving 500 V-Bucks for free which can be spent in the Item Shop in-game. Epic Games is planning to do a Reboot Rally event this season, which will reward players with XP and cosmetics for playing with someone who hasn't been active in the game for a while. Conversely, those players too can earn rewards for playing with a regular.

One of the rewards for the event is the Snikt! Snikt! emote, which goes with Wolverine and is similar to him sharpening his claws. The emote will be available to players who earn the appropriate amount of points.

However, this is not exactly fair to those who have already purchased the emote. As a result, the 500 V-Bucks spent on it will be returned to eligible players.

More official clarification about who can get these V-Bucks was offered.

FortniteStatus tweeted:

"Players who previously acquired the Snikt! Snikt! Emote that is now included in this season's Reboot Rally event will be receiving 500 V-Bucks. Players who redeem a Snikt! Snikt! Emote code from Issue #3 of Marvel x Fortnite Zero War between now and the end of the event will receive 500 V-Bucks in January."

In summary, two types of gamers will receive V-Bucks: those who purchased the Wolverine emote and those who unlocked it via the Marvel Zero War comic codes.

The emote has proven popular and Epic Games has given players many chances and methods to unlock it, and now that it is totally free, the publisher is effectively refunding players.

The timetable for the V-Bucks is at the end of next month, so by then, the V-Bucks should automatically show up when eligible players open the game.

How to unlock the Snikt! Snikt! emote in Fortnite for free

The emote is now available for free, so players who want to earn it have one shot at doing so. It is one of five cosmetic rewards on offer during the Reboot Rally.

To earn it, players must get 250 points during the event, which begun in Fortnite.

Earning points is done through the accumulation of XP with an eligible friend. For returning players, that means playing with an active player, and vice versa.

XP milestones are 80k, 160k, 250k, 300k and 400k. Throughout the next month, Loopers will hit those milestones and earn points. Once they've earned 250 points, they will get the emote. The Adamantium Claws pickaxe has since been removed from the rewards.
