SushiBAE is a well-known TikTok Fortnite streamer, and they’re familiar with many of the game’s most popular crossovers. It was recently revealed that several content creators would be promoting the highly anticipated Frank’s RedHot Fortnite stage. In it, players would have to tackle a stage similar to the fun “The Floor is Lava” Fortnite stage, but with a Frank’s twist.

The stage takes place on a chicken wing-shaped island, and players have to navigate through a variety of unfamiliar areas, but it’s not completely unknown content. Quite a few familiar faces and weapons return for players to uncover. Sportskeeda Esports recently spoke to SushibBAE about this collaboration, what makes it special, and more.

Q. First, thanks for chatting with us! For those who aren't familiar, can you introduce yourself, please?

SushiBAE: Yeah of course! I’m a Chinese American variety content creator. I have a presence across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitch with nearly six million followers. I enjoy playing Fortnite, Valorant, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Overwatch, and more.

Q. It was recently announced that you, alongside other content creators are teaming up with Frank's RedHot for a unique Fortnite map, "The Floor is Flava." How does it feel to take part in this kind of collaboration?

SushiBAE: It’s the greatest honor is being able to collab with Frank's Redhot! I’ve loved playing The Floor is Lava on Fortnite before, so I was so excited to see Frank’s RedHot, which is my favorite hot sauce by the way, take it to an entirely new level with this launch.

Add Frank’s to Lava, and boom, you’ve got Flava. That’s fun! It was cool to have the twist of losing isn’t so bad, because it’s the most delicious game over! Also, what’s not to love about a literal volcano that spews Frank's RedHot sauce!?

Q. Did you or any of the other content creators have input on how the stage ought to be played?

SushiBAE: No, we didn’t provide any input for the creation of the game, but loved seeing the end result and how thoughtfully Frank’s RedHot layered in the branded elements into it. From the chicken wing-shaped island to using chickens as jetpacks and Chili Chugs for speed boosts, I thought it was all super clever.

From the iconic food statues to the recipes in crates, it all felt intentional. They even brought in past characters hidden within the game, such as Beef Boss and Tomatohead for the more seasoned gamers to spot.

Q. Have you spent some time playing it yourself? If so, how are you liking the Frank's RedHot stage?

SushiBAE: Yeah! I’ve played and streamed on my TikTok for my audience, where I made a game out of it that I had to eat a Frank’s-drenched chicken wing every time I dove into the Flava. Eventually, I just gave in and started diving in on purpose!

The stage of Floor is Flava is really great, and can be played in any way that you want! You can either team up to help everyone survive or head for glory by being the only one left on the island.

Q. The Frank's RedHot map also features several rare Fortnite weapons. Did you discover anything particularly interesting while exploring?

SushiBAE: Yeah, the RedHot sauce launchers and chiller grenades as weapons were so cool. I enjoyed hanging out with Frank's chickens, they were a total vibe!

Q. For your fans that are going to be playing it for the first time, do you have any advice or tips for playing "The Floor is Flava?"

SushiBAE: You can emote while dying for the first time ever! I’d say my advice is to try it out and dive into the delicious Flava just for fun. Let’s be real, when Frank’s is flowing, no one loses.

Also, some good advice for playing it the first time is to load up on mats and save a chicken for the end. These two really help in the end game!

Q. One of the neat things about this particular map is that there are multiple ways to escape, so each playthrough feels unique and fun.

SushiBAE: I totally agree, it's kinda similar to the battle royale mode, where each experience is so different. So, I would recommend adjusting yourself to each subtle difference to increase your chances of surviving.

Q. You frequently create Fortnite-based content, aside from this particular team-up. What keeps you playing Fortnite regularly?

SushiBAE: Updates. Updates. Updates. This is what makes Fortnite fun! Pop culture immersion, new gear, new POVs, and crazy events!

Q. What about in your downtime? What games are keeping you coming back to when you aren't creating content?

SushiBAE: When I'm not creating content, Overwatch or Valorant keeps me busy and thinking in different ways. I love building my skills in different games and formats.

Q. If you could create a custom Fortnite map without being limited to what is possible in the game right now based on your content and personality, what would it look like?

SushiBAE: If I were to create another custom Fortnite map, it would be Franks' RedHot part II: SushiBAE Edition! Sushi + Frank's RedHot! Now that would be fire! Lots of Sushi and LOTS OF FRANK'S REDHOT!

Q. It's very hard to get into streaming and become successful, many people say. Do you think there's potential for up-and-coming streamers to use TikTok as a platform to grow on, or should they start somewhere else first?

SushiBAE: On TikTok and as a former TikTok Gaming Ambassador, there's always room for new content creators. And I can't wait to see more! They just gotta figure out the grind!
