Fortnite: How to collect coins in Murder Mystery

Fortnite update v23.50 was released today, and it has brought along a host of new quests to complete before the season ends next week. The Most Wanted event, which granted players free cosmetic items as rewards for completing certain tasks, has also concluded.

The Chapter 4 Season 1 experience has not stopped offering freebies yet. Today, a new questline, Find it in Fortnite, was released with the update, and with it came a variety of objectives to complete while playing mini games on Creative maps.

Once players have completed specific tasks in the questline, they will be rewarded with a variety of cosmetics, including the Check The Map emote that won Fortnite Emote Royale 2022. If they're looking for an easy way to get closer to those rewards, they should try collecting coins from the Murder Mystery Creative game created by Team PWR.

Fortnite quest guide: Steps to collect coins in Murder Mystery

Gathering coins on the Murder Mystery map of Team PWR is a breeze. Doing so will help you move closer in getting your hands on the free rewards that are up for grabs when you finish all these tasks.

To easily collect coins on the map, follow the steps below:

1) Open the Quests tab to check the amount of coins required

Head to the Quests tab and locate the Find it in Fortnite questline. Scroll down until you come across the Murder Mystery challenge, which requires you to collect 50 coins. Once completed, it will reward you with 20,000 XP.

To access the game island, click on the View Experience button, which will bring up a window within the game.

2) Enter the map code and load onto the island

Once you hit the View Experience button, a Murder Mystery map window will appear on your screen. You can also enter 0583-5944-5318 in the Island Code tab to load the map onto your playlist. When you're ready, press Play and spawn into the game's hub.

3) Spawn onto the island and await further instructions

When you first enter the Creative map, you'll be placed in a mansion hallway with instructions to follow. If a match is already going on, it will alert you and ask that you wait until it's finished before joining in.

4) Explore the Deathrun course as you wait to gain points

If you're looking for something to do while the match is still going on, why not try out the Deathrun parkour course? You'll get a coin at the end of it that will give you seven points, which can be used in the Item Shop to purchase power-ups.

Unfortunately, this won't count towards completing any quests - for that, you'll have to wait until the game has finished to take on other players.

5) Spawn into the match and start collecting coins

When you join the game, you'll be randomly placed in Ghost Town - a Wild West-style environment. Gather coins as you explore and take on your role's objectives if you're playing as either the Sheriff or the Murderer. Keep an eye out for these coins as you go.

6) Keep collecting coins laid across several areas on the map

Explore the map to find coins scattered on the rooftops and even inside the buildings. When you or another player collects them, they vanish but reappear shortly afterwards. Collect as many of these as possible to complete your mission in one game.

If you take on the role of a civilian in this Fortnite game, you must be prepared to flee from any Murderers that come after you. Dodge their attacks while gathering coins and try to collect 50 of them. When this is accomplished, a progress bar will appear indicating your quest is complete and 20,000 XP will be rewarded.
