There is a new skin glitch in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, but unlike many others, there is hardly an advantage to this. Instead of making you invisible or changing the colors of the cosmetic, it can cause irreversible damage to a certain outfit as well as a certain glider. The Gear Specialist Maya outfit and the Brella glider can be ruined with this glitch that is very easy to do accidentally.

To avoid this, you need to know what leads to it until Epic Games can fix it. Fortunately, this article will show you exactly what causes it so you can prevent it from occurring.

Maya skin and Brella glider in danger from new Fortnite glitch

Epic Games recently introduced a new feature to the game, which has unfortunately had a few terrible side effects for Fortnite players.

Those with either the Gear Specialist Maya skin or the Brella glider will want to pay special attention to this. These are the most customizable cosmetics in the game, giving players the opportunity to add their own touch to the scarf, sleeves, hair, tattoos, and so much more in the outfit and on every individual piece of the glider.

The feature is a shuffle option, which allows every part of the locker to be randomized. If it selects either the skin or glider, their customization will be randomized, too.

Unfortunately, this means they will be stuck that way. The feature is supposed to completely randomize the locker, which means the style and customization of possible cosmetics. However, this glitch causes them to stay that way.

Many gamers have the Fortnite Maya outfit set how they want, and this will change it until something is done by the developer.

Naturally, this is a glitch, which means that Epic Games will fix it eventually. Given how popular Maya and the Brella are, the developer will want to prevent this from happening. It designed the shuffle option to benefit players, but if no one is using it out of fear of ruining cosmetics, then it will be rendered useless.

It's not exactly a game-breaking glitch, so it will very likely be fixed in the next patch rather than an emergency update sent out. However, the cosmetics should eventually be safe and the dice roll can then be used again.

Additionally, if players' cosmetics got unknowingly ruined by the shuffle option, then it is very likely that Epic will fix that within Fortnite or give them some sort of reward. It could be possible that the developer just unlocks the styles and customization options for both Maya and the Brella for everyone to avoid any trouble.

In the meantime, players are advised to try and avoid using the dice feature. If they wish to use it, they can try archiving the Maya outfit and the Brella glider first to prevent the issue.
