Graphical glitches in Fortnite are nothing new. They've been around since the early days and can often be spotted in-game. They can range from assets and objects not being rendered properly to characters looking odd after using certain emotes and/or weapons.

The latest in line with these glitches allows players to experience a close rendition of the first-person mode in-game. Although the FOV is a bit off, it's the closest players can get until the true first-person mode is added sometime during Fortnite Chapter 4.

A step-by-step guide on how to get first-person mode in Fortnite using a glitch

1) Find a Red-Eye Assault Rifle

The first step in executing this glitch will likely be the most difficult for players. They will have to find a Red-Eye Assault Rifle and a Truck (Mudflap). While the former will be relatively easy to come across, the latter may take some effort.

Although this type of vehicle does spawn on the island, with the chances of all vehicles being randomized, players may not be lucky enough to come across one. In all matches, at least one Truck should spawn at Slappy Shores.

2) Enter a Truck and switch seats

After securing the Red-Eye Assault Rifle and Truck, players should ensure that the area is free of opponents. Since this Fortnite glitch might take a few tries to get right, being shot at will not help.

Once the area has been secured, enter the Truck and switch seats. Players will have to switch from the driver's seat to the passenger's seat. Doing this the other way around will not allow them to use their weapons.

3) Aim down sight using the Red-Eye Assault Rifle

After switching, select the Red-Eye Assault Rifle and aim down sight. If done correctly, players should become invisible inside the Truck. Aside from the weapon in hand, no other part of the character's body will be visible.

What makes this Fortnite glitch special is that as soon as players exit the Truck, their FOV will seem as if they're in first-person mode. Weapons will seem larger, and things will look like FPS titles.

Keep in mind that while players cannot see their own character's model, they will still be clearly visible to opponents. This is a graphical glitch and does not offer any in-game advantage.

4) To cancel the glitch, aim with the Red-Eye Assault Rifle

Like most glitches in Fortnite, this one doesn't last forever. To cancel the glitch, all players have to do is select their Red-Eye Assault Rifle and aim down sight.

Their character's model will reappear in a split second, and everything will return to how it was. Since the glitch is not game-breaking, players can use it as and when they see fit.
