Winning trophies is something every world footballer wants. It is a pleasure to contribute to your team’s success. Maxwell Scherrer Cabelino Andrade, better known as Maxwell, is widely regarded as the most decorated player in the club football.

The Brazilian has made waves in the club football since he started playing professional football. His excellence on the field has been lauded by the world over through the numerous medals and achievements that he has been granted with.

Maxwell picked up an impressive amount of trophies and awards throughout his career. The Brazilian has amassed trophies at every club he has played for. He is known for his incredible ability to provide the right time in the right place.

In a career with Cruzeiro, Ajax, Inter, Barcelona and PSG, Maxwell has lifted an astonishing 37 major trophies.

The irony of this fact is that he has only won ten caps for the Brazil national team. Maxwell has an incredible record with league titles. He has won the league in nine of the last eleven seasons.

His career started in Brazil with Cruzeiro, where he won the Copa do Brasil in his first season in 2000. He then signed for Ajax in 2000 and won the Eredivise twice, the Dutch Cup twice and the Johan Cruyff Shield twice. The Brazillian joined Inter Milan on a free transfer in 2006. He helped the "Black and Blues" three times in a row to become the champions of Italy.

He has also won two Italian Super Cups with Milan. Maxwell signed a five-year deal with Barcelona in the summer of 2009. He clinched a total of ten trophies with Barcelona, which includes two La liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups, one Champions League title, two UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA club world Cups.

After an impressive stint with Barcelona, Maxwell joined PSG in 2012. PSG proved to be the right place for him to add to his large cabinet of trophies. He steered PSG to four consecutive league titles, Coupe de la Ligues and Trophee des Champions. He also won the Coupe de France's during that period.

It’s presumed that Maxwell achieved so much as a result of the stature of the clubs he has played at. He is a little downgraded by the footballing world. While many may expect legends of the game such as Lionel Messi, Ryan Giggs or Cristiano Ronaldo to be club football's most decorated player, Maxwell stands above the rest with his winnings.

At the time of his retirement, he was the most decorated active footballer in Europe and will surely go down as a world football legend.
