Video: NEC and Feyenoord draw in thriller

Bruno Martins Indi scored in the 90th minute for Feyenoord to rescue a point in an entertaining 3-3 draw at NEC Nijmegen in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday (15th September).

Feyenoord went into their game against NEC Nijmegen knowing that a win would put them within four points of Eredivisie leaders PEC Zwolle.

NEC on the other hand were still looking for their first win of the season.

The visitors started brightly and took the lead in the 26th minute thanks to Lex Immers first goal of the season.

It took NEC just four minutes to find an equaliser. Samuel Stefanik helping Michael Higdon’s header into an empty net.

Feyenoord started the second just as they did the first half.

Graziano Pelle hit the woodwork twice inside the first five minutes of the second half.

And the away side’s pressure finally paid off in the 67th minute when Jean-paul Boetius started a wonderful counter attacking move from inside Feyenoord’s half.

He then finished off the move in style after running the length of the pitch.

But Feyenoord failed to hold on to their lead once again.

Just two minutes late, Kevin Conboy’s free kick was scrambled into the net by Victor Palsson to make it 2-2.

Stefanik then sparked wild celebrations in the stands as he scored his second putting NEC 3-2 up.

Ronald Koeman’s side poured forward in search of an equaliser and their perseverance paid off in the 90th minute.

Bruno Martins Indi bundled the ball across the line as the game ended 3-3 meaning NEC Nijmegen are still searching for their first win of the season.
