Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has named Bukayo Saka as his favorite Gunners' star at the moment. He expressed his respect for the Englishman after becoming a crucial player for his side.

Saka has been a key player for Mikel Arteta's team this season. He has scored 20 goals and has provided 14 assists in 47 matches across competitions this term.

Henry reckons that players like Reisson Nelson and others were hyped up more as youngsters. However, Saka has grown to become a first-team superstar and shows his quality on a regular basis. Henry said (via Metro):

"At the time everyone was talking about other young players like Reiss Nelson. And Bukayo Saka was just.... yeah, he's good.
"That's why I have mad respect for Bukayo and a soft spot for him, he's my favorite player."

Saka, since making his first-team debut in 2019, has made 226 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 58 goals and providing 53 assists. Saka has scored 16 Premier League goals this season. In doing so, he became the first English player since Alan Wright to score 15 or more league goals for the club in a single campaign.

Bukayo Saka is expected to be fit for Arsenal vs. Everton

Bukayo Saka left the pitch injured during Arsenal's Premier League win against Manchester United at Old Trafford on May 12. The Englishman tumbled down the pitch to the advertising board.

Saka, however, is expected to be fit for the season finale against Everton on May 19. The Gunners need a win to have any chance of winning the Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta's side will also need Manchester City to slip up if they are to win. City play West Ham United at the Etihad on Sunday. Mikel Arteta is still hopeful, as he said (via Metro):

"I do believe. We wanted to be in this position. We have earned the right to live a beautiful day in front of out people on Sunday with the hope and big opportunity that we can lift the trophy at the end of the match."

City sit two points above Arsenal, who have a better goal difference.
