Hello and welcome to the Manchester United transfer roundup for the day! The greatest show on earth is now over and we are left with nothing but what we always have: club football.

Right now, with the World Cup officially over, we might see a lot of deals happening over the next few days – especially with Manchester United, considering that they are being linked with a lot of players and still have some money in their budget.

So without further ado, here are some of the biggest rumours of the day regarding the Red Devils…

#5 Ferdinand recommendation and Guedes

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has stated that the Red Devils should do all they can to sign Kylian Mbappe. The French youngster had a great World Cup with France as he helped the team win the tournament.

Mbappe was awarded the best young player of the tournament for his performances in Russia and Rio Ferdinand thinks that he is going to be among the most consistent figures in future Ballon d’Or programmes while also stating that he shares a telepathic bond with Paul Pogba.

“He is the guy who will be standing up on that Ballon d'Or podium in years to come. Easy,” he said.

"I hope my old club are chasing him. He has that connection with Paul Pogba, too.

"There is already maturity beyond his years."

Meanwhile, Don Balon are of the belief that the Red Devils are chasing Goncalo Guedes. After missing out on signing Fabian Ruiz from Real Betis, who chose to join Napoli instead, Mourinho wants to sign the player that some dub as the next Cristiano Ronaldo.

Guedes had a great season on loan at Valencia but couldn’t repeat those heroics at the World Cup with Portugal. However, Mourinho likes him and believes that he has the potential to be one of the best players in the world.

United will have to negotiate with PSG for his signature, who want €80 million for the youngster.

#4 Milinkovic-Savic and Fekir

Another player that Manchester United have been linked with for a quite a while now is Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbian performed well in the World Cup to top off a brilliant season with Lazio.

As a result, he is being coveted by many top European clubs. At first, he was linked with the Red Devils and Real Madrid but now, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea have entered the race for the midfielder after hiring Maurizio Sarri as their manager.

Meanwhile, Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas believes that Liverpool could once again approach the French outfit to acquire the signature of Nabil Fekir, who has also been linked with Manchester United.

"It seems to me that Liverpool could come back in,” he said. ”That's what I've read in the press, but I've not been told anything.”

#3 Perisic and Hector Herrera

Perisic scored a beautiful goal against France

Ivan Perisic will have to be one of those players that have been linked with Manchester United for about a year. However, the Croat’s supposed move to Old Trafford hasn’t taken place yet and it seems as though there is interest for him from Spain.

According to Don Balon, Luka Modric is aware of the fact that Florentino Perez wants Ivan Perisic at the Bernabeu. The Inter forward scored two wonderful goals in the semi-final and final for Croatia and has attracted the interest of Perez.

Meanwhile, after his good performances in the World Cup, Hector Herrera has attracted interest towards him from some of Europe’s top clubs. And according to Don Balon, Manchester United are among the clubs that are vying for his signature.

#2 Mbappe

Mbappe has the world at his feet now

This is the year of the Kylian. After a fantastic World Cup with France, all the talk is about this teenager. Although he confirmed that he will be staying with PSG, there are still reports that claim otherwise.

According to Don Balon, Manchester United could let go of Pogba to Barcelona for €180 million and could then make a €300 million bid for Kylian Mbappe in an attempt to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams.

However, the same outlet then goes on to write a contradicting report to claim that Barcelona are happy with the Frenchman’s announcement about staying at PSG because the Catalans currently don’t have the financial strength to sign him. They want Mbappe in a couple of years’ time as a successor to the throne of Lionel Messi.

#1 Bale

Madrid will let go of Bale only in exchange for Kane

After letting go of Cristiano Ronaldo, it seems as though Florentino Perez doesn’t want to risk the further wrath of the Madridistas. It might be for this very reason that the Spanish construction magnate rejected a mega offer for Gareth Bale.

According to Don Balon, the Real Madrid president has rejected a €170 million bid from the Old Trafford outfit for the Welshman. The report further adds that the only way that Madrid would sell Bale is if they get Harry Kane in return.

In short, Madrid will only sell to Tottenham and also give €70 million extra if it means that Harry Kane comes to the Bernabeu.
