Sebastian Vettel took his and his team’s first win in Canada with a dominant performance from start to finish at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Fernando Alonso occupied the second spot after starting down in 6th place and following a great battle with 3rd place finisher and former teammate Lewis Hamilton.

McLaren’s streak of 64 point ended after their drivers could finish only in 11th and 12th place. However, car problems couldn’t prevent Kimi Raikkonen from continuing with his 24 points scoring streak – he’s now at level with Michael Schumacher’s record.
