Sebastian Vettel is better than Hamilton and Rosberg combined, says Dr Helmut Marko

Red Bull’s Dr Helmut Marko has taken a dig at Mercedes by saying that world champion Sebastian Vettel is better than the entire Mercedes lineup.

“I always hear Mercedes say they have the best driver pairing in formula one. Vettel alone is better than Rosberg and Hamilton together. This is a fact,” Marko said.

Vettel who secured his fourth drivers’ championship recently, will be aiming for his eight consecutive Grand Prix win at Austin, which will see him break the record set by Michael Schumacher.

Vettel’s performance in the season also support Marko’s claim as the German has 347 points so far in 2013, which is 13 points greater than Mercedes’ whole tally.
