Toto Wolff provides insight into Mercedes' new 'Best in Class' campus plans in Brackley

Mercedes AMG F1 has just announced its brand new Brackley project, which will focus on revamping the entire Mercedes campus situated in Brackley, England.

After explaining their plans for development, which include brand new amenities and benefits that have been inspired from Silicon Valley in the United States, Toto Wolff shed more light on Mercedes' new "best in class" campus plans.

Designed to increase efficiency and effectiveness, the Mercedes HQ, situated in Brackley, England, is all set to be revamped by 2025.

Having dished out €40M, and planning to fork out another €30M, Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff explained how the entire facility is planned to be powered by 100% renewable energy with a new car park comprising of an on-site solar array.

In a bid to shed more light on these exciting campus plans, Toto Wolff, CEO and Team Principal of Mercedes, shared his insights following the press release. He highlighted the company's aspiration to emulate the best technology campuses in the United States.

"We are orientating ourselves towards the best technology campuses that we know from the USA. That's the ambition," said Wolff.

Creating an environment that attracts and retains top talent is a crucial aspect of Mercedes' campus plans. Wolff acknowledges that talent retention and recruitment are pivotal in sustaining their success. By developing an attractive employer brand and offering a cutting-edge facility, Mercedes aims to entice the finest minds in the industry to join their ranks.

"This is a fight for talent retention and hiring; and being an attractive employer," stated the Mercedes Team Principal.

While Mercedes has enjoyed tremendous success on the racetrack, they recognize the challenges posed by the cost cap regulations introduced in 2021.

After previously addressing the adaptation to cost cap as a "", Toto Wolff once again acknowledged that Mercedes is no longer as competitive in certain areas due to the limitations imposed by the cost cap.

Addressing this issue as a priority, Wolff explained how it is essential to have the best personnel and resources to maintain their performance at the highest level.

"There are areas where we're clearly not competitive anymore on the cost cap. And it's something we need to address going forward." he added.
