Daniel Ricciardo was recently criticized by fans over sexist remarks he made while attending several American podcast and entertainment shows. His reaction to a recent interview on the Sundae Conversation YouTube channel was frowned upon by many.

Riccirdo was in an upbeat mood during his appearance on the Sundae Conversation YouTube channel. During the interview, host Caleb Pressley discussed women in Formula 1. Pressley asked a bunch of questions about whether Ricciardo thinks women are worse drivers than men and why there are fewer female racing drivers in Formula 1.

Ricciardo could not help but giggle at the hysterical nature of the questions. The AlphaTauri driver stated that women were 'subjectively' good drivers and also reiterated the fact that there are only 20 F1 drivers in the world.

Unfortunately, his behavior did not sit well with a few fans, as they took to X (formerly Twitter) to claim that Daniel Ricciardo made sexist remarks.

"daniel ricciardo apparently loves going on podcasts to make sexist remarks"

Previously, the Australian also made an appearance on the YMH Studios podcast, where the hosts joked about how F1 drivers must have a lot of female fans and made other vulgar comments. Though Daniel Ricciardo did not make any sexist remarks himself, he laughed openly at whatever the hosts were saying.

Coming back to the Sundae Conversation interview, though there were a few fans offended by how Ricciardo reacted, many others pointed out that the Australian driver was not making any remarks himself.

Here are some of the reactions from F1 fans :

"I'm still waiting for the sexism. Is there a Part 2 or did you cut it off by..... accident?"
"I mean this may sound weird but I don't feel like it's meant to be taken in a serious way because this whole bit seems to be him just being giggly. But I'm not saying someone else can't be upset by it, it's just the vibes I got."

Overall, the fact that Ricciardo was lauging during these discussions offended a handful of fans, while most of them do not believe that he made any sexist comments whatsoever.

Daniel Ricciardo on his first race after recovering from his hand injury

Daniel Ricciarod raced in the 2023 F1 US GP after skipping five races while he was recovering from a serious hand injury he encountered in the Dutch GP. Asked by Sportskeeda if he was satisfied with his first weekend upon return, Daniel Ricciardo said:

“Elements, yes, like for sure there's things which I take confidence from obviously like some race fitness, the hand, a few things which even just getting behind the wheel in FP1 everyone like lap 1, I felt like I was able to push and lean on it. So there's certainly some inner confidence in that. But I would say in race conditions, yeah. Next week I'll do better.”

The Honey Badger finished dead last in 15th place in the US GP. He has not yet scored any points in the drivers' championship table this year.
