After leading India to a win, Dhoni opened about his love for a ‘non-cricket diet’

In a candid chat with cricket.com.au Dhoni reveals his loves for ‘unhealthy’ food like chocolates and burgers. He was chatting to Cricket Australia after the fourth match of the 2012 Commonwealth Bank Series in Adelaide.

India won the match against Australia by four wickets with only two balls to spare. It should be no surprise that the Indian captain was there until the end to finish things off for his country as India chased down Australia's total of 269.

In typical Dhoni fashion, the captain hit a six in the final over, when it was most needed. The final over had begun with India requiring 13 runs off six balls, and Dhoni finished things off within four balls hitting the third ball of Clint McKay's over for a six over long-on.

Dhoni finished the innings scoring an unbeaten 44, but the main anchor of India's chase was Gautam Gambhir who scored a graceful 92 and was named the man of the match.

After the match ended, Dhoni opened up about how he loves the Dairy Milk: Fruit & Nut chocolate made by Cadbury. However, he laments the fact that the team trainer is strict about chocolates and only gives the players meal replacement chocolates, which Dhoni does not find tasty.

When questioned about the 125 m long winning six he hit, Dhoni joked that the burger he ate helped him hit it that far. He admitted his love for burgers and mentioned that the Indian team occasionally visit Nando's to have grilled burgers, which is the only kind of burger the trainer allows the players to have.

Dhoni finished off telling about how he enjoyed keeping in Australia as he enjoys the carry and bounce the pitches there assist.

Indian captain MS Dhoni is well known for his stamina and is probably one of the fittest cricketers around. Although he is 34 years old, he is still one of the quickest between the wickets and very light on his feet when he dons the gloves behind the wicket.
