Stats: Teams with most losses in major ICC ODI tournament finals

England v India: Final - ICC Champions Trophy

England can consider themselves the most unlucky team in the history of ODI cricket, as they have never won a major ICC ODI tournament but have reached finals on as many as five occasions, only to end-up losing all of them. They achieved this feat thrice in World Cups (1979, 1987, 1992) and twice in Champions Trophy (2004, 2013). Wonder why the ‘chokers’ tag never got to them!

England are followed by West Indies, who have lost finals thrice, once in the World Cup (1983) and twice in the Champions Trophy (1998, 2006).

Here are the stats of teams with most losses in major ICC ODI tournament finals.
