For Sri Lanka to qualify: It is quite straight forward – a win will take them through to the semi-final, while a washout, a tie or a loss will see them crash out.

For Australia to qualify: For Australia, it is a complicated scenario as they have to win within a certain set of conditions. They have to win by 125-130 runs or by 124-130 balls to spare.

Consider a hypothetical situation: If SL bat first and score 250, then Australia have to chase that in 29 overs or less.

If Australia bats first and score 250, then they have to restrict Sri Lanka to 124 or less.

For New Zealand to qualify: For them to qualify, they need Australia to win within a certain set of conditions.

Consider a hypothetical situation: If SL bat first and score 250, then NZ will only qualify if Australia chase that in more than 29 overs.

If Australia bats first and score 250, then NZ will only qualify if Sri Lanka score 125 or more.
