The most prolific partnership ever in the history of International cricket is this pair. They also have the most number of century partnerships in the game, and over the years they have given so much joy for an average Indian fan. Known more for their One day exploits where they take turns to take on the bowlers in the first 15 overs, their overall highest partnership is 281.

2. Kumar Sangakkara/ Mahela Jayawardena

Sri Lanka’s own version of Sachin and Dravid, they are still playing ODI and Test cricket which makes them favourites to go to the first spot in terms of runs. Their biggest moment together came when they frustrated the proteas to the core with a 624 run partnership which turned out to be a world record.
