Trent Boult bowled an unplayable delivery to clean up Quinton de Kock in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Saturday (April 27).
The left-hander started his innings on a high with back-to-back boundaries in the opening over but was done by the sheer brilliance of Boult. De Kock walked off for just eight runs off three balls and table toppers RR struck early.
Boult bowled a good length ball around off stump and De Kock tried to play towards the legside. However, the ball straightened after hitting the seam and beat the batter before crashing onto the stumps.

Trent Boult continued his sublime form with the ball, picking up his 10th wicket in the ninth game of IPL 2024. The New Zealand ace pacer would be looking to continue his top-notch form as the Royals eye their second IPL title. The left-arm pacer is a big asset for his team and a different beast in the powerplay overs.
RR strike early but LSG fight back in IPL 2024 match
A clinical bowling display helped RR take two early wickets against LSG in the IPL on Saturday. That came as skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl. Apart from Boult, Sandeep Sharma sent back Marcus Stoinis, who smashed a century in his last outing against Chennai Super Kings, for a four-ball duck.
At the time of writing, the Super Giants were 87/2 after 9.2 overs, with captain KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda at the crease.
The Super Giants will look to avenge the 20-run loss they suffered against RR earlier this season. They are coming on the back of consecutive wins against CSK in both home and away games and would be keen to continue their winning streak.
On the other hand, the Sanju Samson-led side have won seven out of the first eight games. They recently completed a hat-trick of wins against Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians. They beat MI by nine wickets in their last game.
