The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the most dominant sides in the MLB this season with additions like Tyle Glasnow, Shohei Ohtani, Teoscar Hernandez, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, etc. To top it off, they have now got a major boost in the form of star pitcher Walker Buehler's return to the mound almost after two years.

On Saturday, Buehler started for the Dodgers as they faced the Cincinnati Reds and he the ace left a mark in the game. In the six innings that he pitched, he managed to shut out the opposition, allowing just three hits, and striking out seven batters.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts expressed his satisfaction with the returning Buehler's strong performance from the mound. In the post-game interview, Roberts said Buehler using all kinds of pitches in his arsenal was something good.

"It was really impressive." Dave Roberts said. "Really, really happy for Walker. You know tonight you saw a guy that he was a baseball player tonight. He fielded his position covered first base.
He wasn't about rehab mechanics he was getting Strike one. He was using his entire pitch mix. He wasn't overthrowing he was in control and command the entire night and he was very efficient. "

Dodgers skipper further continued:

"He was getting the swing and miss that we all like but he was getting soft contact. You know, even a little stress that we created by a miscommunication and left centerfield he weathered that with the pop up to the catcher gotta that ending with the grounder and so for me to get him into the get them through the sixth inning, which he probably hasn't gotten to the sixth inning in a year and a half."

The team would now hope that he can hold on to this form so that the club can bank on it and cruise to many more of such victories, hopefully even reach the post-season and lift the World Series.

Walker Buehler reflects on his extraordinary performance

Walker Buehler displayed his pitching prowess during the Dodgers' outing against the Reds. His six-inning shutout was very impressive and was commended by his manager and teammates.

The pitcher himself reflected on his performance after the game. Talking about his time on the mound during the game on Saturday, he said it was great to see that his hard work has paid off as he trained hard to make an impactful return.

"We moved me on the rubber a little bit... It just makes everything look a little different. My body kind of lines up a little differently. We did that in the bullpen in San Fran and liked what happened and luckily it translated."

Buehler made his return to MLB action during the Dodgers' series against the Marlins. Although the team won 6-3 against the Marlins that day, Buehler had a below-par performance

However, with his most recent performance against the Reds, Dave Roberts will now be relieved and would hope the star pitcher can replicate the success to fortify the rotation.
